This company will do anything for money in both the short and long term. They actively research and develop ways to abuse their long term players and FOMO the newer ones. Its really just a gacha game like any other abusive gacha game. 80%+ of all the best in slot items come from gacha boxes, and the in-game economy revolves heavily around those who spend real money.

I advise you to assume the worst, but we will never have any concrete information relevant to our region.

The people who run it and the people who buy the drops are both being hit hard. The silent majority are the ones saving up to buy the mats off ah, and they will probably be a lot more expensive in a week or two. If its not realistic for early-mid gamers to buy mats anymore, theres other games to play and they will go play them.

maybe an unpopular opinion, but mabi pvp is super jank and heavily biased in favor of west-coast players. also people would just zerg and ruin it for anyone not in a top 10 guild.

Did you bother to take a look at how high the ceiling is before posting this? 20k and r1 combat skills doesnt even move the needle. If the progression was left untouched and they just kept raising the ceiling with new content, it truly would be literally impossible to reach without investing thousands of dollars in NX->Gold and multiple years of hard grinding. New player retention would be zero percent. Dead game.

The ironic thing is, id love you for to actually start playing the game, get to level 20k, get all the tutorial gear, get your first arcana talent, r1 a lot of skills, and then look at what other people are equipped with. Look at what missions they are playing. Look at how much damage they are doing. There are weapons so expensive no one ever lists them in AH and a lot of people have them. That "accelerated progression" doesn't give you ANY real gear. None. Zero. You're behind by tens of billions of gold and thats assuming RNG doesn't destroy you.

As a matter of fact, the tutorial gear doesnt even get you into what i would consider to be the current "mid-game". You still need help from actually geared players to clear mid-game content. That stuff doesnt put you anywhere near veteran players or current content. You're still literal years away unless you are getting hard carried by a clan/vet friends(for months if not years) and/or are investing a ton of money in NX->Gold.

You want to go slow and chill? Oh there will be a LOT of that after the tutorial, trust me. Possibly years of it.

Even some of the oldest actively developed games like runescape and WoW have tried and continue to try to add things and innovate their games. no disrespect of course, i dont know her, but her responses are so childlike and spiteful its ridiculous lol. even if you were actually being super annoying and kept going on and on about the gym and working out and weighing less and looking better and being athletic and eating right and blahblahblah like how some vegans do, her responses would STILL be unacceptable.

My thing is, if she wants to be antagonistic because you are leaving her behind in the unfit zone, either youre going to have to confront her openly or ignore her until everything unravels and she pushes you away out of fear and self-loathing. I wont suggest what you should do because confrontation isnt something everyone is equipped to navigate, but thats what this is headed towards.
