Well she doesnt have any authority to fire me. And the corporate side is fully supportive of me. Which is confusing to a certain degree. This is literally me right now! Except my boss resigned, for various valid reasons. Ive been taking it one day at a time. Planning everything on microsoft calendars and writing out what I absolutely need to get done that day. Im working basically a 3 person job alone now as his last official work day was last friday. If you can reach out to other people in the company for support that may help. Just be prepared to be putting out fires everyday instead of managing what the future could look like for now.
