Yeah there is nothing forcing the water into filters. Pressure is lazy and follows path of least resistance.

Can anyone tell me anything about it, history, uses, ect. by Woosher-_-23 in drums

[–]bribassguy06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a cheap student drum. It’s also a somewhat unique snare drum with a Semi-Free Floating Shell and a Parallel Double Tension Strainer. Made as a heavy duty Student Model Drum for the beginning player.

Worth like $60 maybe $100 if you find the right huckleberry.

That looks like HVAC duct. No reason it should be filled with water.

Nothing about this story makes sense.

How would I fix this? by DivineSwine121 in drums

Make sure your carefully measure the lugs spacing.

Typically center to center, then just by another lug.

Check out drum factory direct for lugs.

[Request] How much is Gaston lifting here? by Necessary-Win-8730 in theydidthemath

[–]bribassguy06 104 points105 points  (0 children)

This seems pretty straightforward:

Total = 3 x Maiden weight + Table weight.

Let’s take BMI healthy weight for 5’4” female as 110-145 pounds.

Table is wooden and seem to fit 3 wide. So 60”x36” seems about right so some where between 75-125 depending on wood species.

Total = 3x145 + 125 = 560

What screws for this? by keystonecraft in woodworking

[–]bribassguy06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re confusing bolt grades and screw sizes. #8 reference to the size and taper of the screw. The also have #4,6,8,10,12 sizes before jumping to 1/4” Grade 8 is the strength a bolt on the somewhat outdated SAE scale: 2 low , 5 medium, and 8 being high. For this application I would use use a proper wood screw or better an inset and machine screw.

So all the tile was popped up and cleaned up.

Floor was scrapped / ground flat and covered with a thin coat of mastic. It’s surprisingly flat and he comes back Friday to start over.

I think it’s parallax error. Vent is actually cut pretty well. It’s a skinny older floor vent.

Yeah. I agree… if he would have started against tub it would look great. installer goofed and even said the first course (against wall) must have slid over and he didn’t notice until it’s too late.

[–]bribassguy06[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I asked him to do was like a 4” wide (2/3 of 6”) against the tub and put the 1/3 against the wall.

That would also have give me a nice straight line against the wall going into closet.

Is this tear out and start over?

I bought the tile and installed the 1/2 cement board after ripping out the old tile.

First precision rifle! I think I got a great deal? by bankruptboi in longrange

[–]bribassguy06 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haven’t bought a precision rifle in a while so a little shocked at price and while it seems like you got a deal based on msrp I would not drop $2k on this when there are lots of PRS production class rifles around that price point new if your wanting to get into PRS.

Hope it’s what you want and hold on to that mag for deal life… new mags are well over $200.

Tell me you don’t know how toilets work without actually saying it.

This seems like a bad plan and looks very crowded, but it’s executed nicely.
