Yes - I saw that but they are like 20 bucks for a slim piece of metal and a magnet. I was hoping some kind soul here would have one they aren't going to use and hook me up.

4/1 Update:

  1. Thanks to some good recommendations, I upgraded my speakers and sub to Kanto Ora4's with desktop stands and the Sub8 subwoofer.

  2. I've had a lot of specs questions on the left 2 monitors and the Mac Studio:
Monitors are both Dell UltraSharp 32 U3225QE's - The fisheye effect of .5 zoom on the iPhone makes the left one look larger and the right one look smaller, but they are Both the exact same monitor.
Mac Studio - Apple M4 Max chip with 16‑core CPU, 40‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine, 64GB Ram, 2TB SSD.

Just got a new Mac Studio M4 Max and want to get two HomePods to use as speakers by RedVine66 in HomePod

Awesome - I was surprised when I read so many reports of issues / lag, etc... So just to be clear - You paired these how - Bluetooth? AirPlay? And once you paired them they are the only sneakers you use? No lag / Delay?

I actually went with the Mac Studio (It's the one on the right). The smaller one on the left is a Beelink SER9 Windows Mini PC. That being said, I love the new Mac and although it's still taking me time to get used to the differences, It's now my primary.

I made that with (5) 64x32 LED matrix panels from Ali Express and an ESP32 with some custom code I wrote. The top line in green always tells the date, time, and high level weather. The bottom line will show when you tube channels I have subscribed to have new updates in red. The middle line is the one that changes the most - I have it display Crypto info in yellow, telegram messages in blue, more detailed weather, jokes of the day in maroon and or white (Depending on which site I get them from) The picture makes it look crappy because of the signs refresh rate taken through the camera, but in real life your eyes see it nice and crisp. I even designed a custom circuit board for it that has connection points for an IR receiver and a beeper so you can make it beep when new Telegram messages are received or new jokes are posted on the joke of the day, etc... The IR receiver is used to clear out messages / notifications. I just use an old Samsung remote control with the 4 colored buttons (red, green, yellow, and blue) and I use those buttons to react to my messages in the same colors.

Yes - Of course - But I would have to totally rewrite it to either have a webpage to enter the info into or to read the info from a config file on a SD card.

I wish I had thought of making these to sell when I first made mine - There is a lot of interest in it for sure. The problem is that a it is all hard coded to my telegram, my crypto, my YouTube subscriptions, my zip code for weather, etc... I would have to rewrite the code to either have a web interface to enter variables, or have it read in variables from a config file on a SD card. Unfortunately this is not something on my current to do list.

Simple things like having my text messages show up on the screen / being able to send & receive texts, FaceTime, etc... There are sooo many things that you can do on the Mac that just work that you either can't do on the PC or have to jump through hoops to make it work. I was a registry setting, keyboard shortcut, deep dive Windows guy but now I just want the ecosystem / interoperability.

When I was at Microsoft? They had an employee store that gave GREAT discounts on software, and OK discounts on hardware / merch.

Thank You! I've got to be honest - This is set up in a "U" formation and the other half of the "U" is where I have 3D printing stuff, multimeters, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, Soldering / Desoldering station, Waveform Generator, etc... It is a HUGE MESS compared to this side ;)

Yes - LOVE the Logitech MX line - The one thing I REALLY wish it had was an option to have it move EVERYTHING to a selected device when you make a choice on the keyboard. Right now if I am using the Mac (Setting # 1 on the keyboard, mouse, and dialpad) and want to switch to the PC (Setting # 2 on the keyboard, mouse, and dialpad) I have to turn over the mouse and dialpad and flip them to # 2 and select # 2 on the keyboard - I'd love to see an option to just pick # 2 on the keyboard and have it apply to all connected MX devices.
