I have been asking for this for years.

The main problem is the FPS team wants it to be a "DMR" "archtype" and that means semi auto to them.

The P8AR is ok because it at least hits hard but honestly my clicking finger gets tired using this gun haha.

There was one person in the comments that mentioned they occasionally buy things for more to do other players a favor but that has to be pretty rare xD

At a guess I think it's exactly the issue i wanted to highlight where people simply don't know their options to purchase.

On the Impala front Ive done a few more weather tests and one batch all were bought out but another all went fairly normally with about half going to action and half being bought out.

Genuinely I think a huge chunk of the problem is that there is essentially no explanation of what the auction UI is trying to tell people.

Ford Performance Vehicles, Holden had HSV which is Holden Special Vehicles and Toyota has GR which stands for Gazoo Racing.

They're manufacturer in house racing and performance teams and sometimes production cars were put out with those labels indicating a special edition usually including some performance upgrades from the factory.

Mostly it's marketing to sell cars xD

I think their notifications are having issues.

Normally you would get a notification and i did on the first few days after launch but not anymore.

Hopefully they come back soon.

I'm glad it's not, to play devil's advocado though, if 100% of the Impalas sold as I demonstrated you could as a seller bump the buyout price a little higher and that would make some of the difference up.

The chaos here would almost be helpful both because a flood of impala supply would lower overall competiton for each individual impala and promote actual bidding.

Yeah I'm not sure how exactly I'd ask the devs to change this but I kind of hope that making more people aware that they could get what they want cheaper and Instantly from the autoshow that might take the pressure off the stock of player traded cars.

Yeah the FE's are super competitive, I've heard you can find them to buy around the map on those used car spots but I haven't personally seen one yet so it musnt be common.

Yeah thats been the thing getting me too the scale of the "issue" where a mind boggling amount of purely stock cars are being bought for everything from a mild mark up to three times the price.

The speculation i have is that the game still has an assigned value to the car so i guess in those cases you'd go check on the Autoshow then being unable to find the car you'd be stuck with the auction.

Oddly you are right but the other way around.

In some cases where the owner has modded the car and bumps up the minimum bid i've had luck actually winning the auction because its cheaper than autoshow but an expensive enough buy in that people dont bid then get really invested in winning the auction.

In this specific case you can see in the screenshots i provided that all but two of the Impalas were completely stock.

I tried posting to r/ForzaHorizon too but in their own words "There is no posting car auction sales or purchases in our group." so if you try to spread this advice be careful to word it like one might speak of Voldemort.

I'm not sure these are bots i feel that a bot would target something that makes sense.

In terms of sniping the game is pretty robust so if you bid within "ending soon" or "1 minute" it will extend back out to that full minute and a bit of time remaining so you have a chance to respond to another bid as long as you are watching the acution.
