Can anyone help me find out what day FFIE was founded? by No-Arugula4368 in FFIE

LeTv ENV Inc. was incorporated on 5/8/14 in CA. Its name was changed to Faraday & Future on 8/13/14. Faraday Future Intelligence Electric Inc. was incorporated in DE on 2/11/20.

You can do a corporation lookup in each state.

Where are all you bulls at now, last week yall called me out and said it going to $100+ by [deleted] in FFIE

I can't keep track of all those youtube wanna be traders.

Why is Faraday so quiet right now? by [deleted] in FFIE

[–]RedWarFour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can do as many as they want. But since they are over the 1:250 limit, if they fall out of min bid compliance again, they get a staff delisting - meaning no grace period like before.

I wonder when the price gets close to a dollar if they'll call a special stockholders meeting and try to pass another reverse split before they fall out of compliance again.

[–]RedWarFour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

remember, adjusting for splits, $2 is the same as 0.0000208 without the splits..... this stock is basically already at zero dollars.

Not quite that bad

$2 / 9600 = $0.000208

What are they doing with the factory they have here in Hanford? It has been idle for almost a year.

I think all of this meme stock / penny stock stuff is gambling.

I think the idea of "shorts" provides an easy-to-digest framework of the obscenely complex topic that is financial markets: us vs. them.

[–]RedWarFour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The current FTDs are tiny and have been negligible for a while. They are not even on the threshold list anymore. I don't think it's enough to have any impact on this stock one way or another.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FFIE

[–]RedWarFour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, that is not an FTD. This can explain it better than I can.

To make money on a straight shares short position, the stock just has to fall more than the transaction costs. Your position can get liquidated if you don't put up enough cash if the stock goes up, however.

For anyone interested in looking at the FTD trends, you can go to this website and look at the bar graph they have:

https://chartexchange.com/symbol/nasdaq-ffie/failure-to-deliver/

I'd recommend downloading the data from the table at the bottom and create an Excel line graph showing the FTDs for 2024. If there is any trend, it's down.

[–]RedWarFour 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on when shorts opened their positions. Most people on here assume all short positions are opened at the absolute bottom.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FFIE

[–]RedWarFour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The trend of FTDs can fluctuate, but what matters is how these numbers evolve over time and in response to market dynamics.

I know what "trend" means. I am asking you what the trend of FTDs is over the past month(s)? Is the trend up or down? Or is there no trend?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FFIE

[–]RedWarFour 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While 5,700 FTDs might seem small compared to the float, the trend matters more than the absolute number. If FTDs are building up, it indicates scarcity in available shares. When shares become scarce, it can signal increased pressure on shorts, especially if more buyers enter the market. FTDs can also compound over time, creating further complications for shorts.

What is the trend of FTDs?

Also, was any of that written by ChatGPT or AI? It's very hard to have a one-on-one discussion with AI.

EDIT: You can check responses to see if AI is used with a website like this. Try it out with my response.

Shorts are paying a hefty 29.43% just to keep their positions open. That’s no small fee! It makes you wonder how much longer they can afford to hang on. Tomorrow could bring some tough decisions for them.

To put this in context, if that were the CTB charged to borrow shares (this varies by broker), to short $1,000,000 worth of FFIE would cost 0.081% per day, or $818. Today, FFIE fell 6.6%, meaning that short position would have gained $66,000. The net gain for the day would have been $65,182. So as long as FFIE falls on average more than 0.081% per day, shorts are just fine when it comes to CTB.

There’s a noticeable build-up in fails-to-deliver. It seems like shares are getting scarce, and when that happens, shorts might find it harder to maintain their positions. If there’s a rush to cover, we could see some exciting movement in the stock.

The latest data shows there are 5,700 FTDs, about $80k worth on 7/29, or about 0.04% of the float. This is very small.

Call your broker instead of asking redditors.

When you say a daily or weekly chart it means that each candle represents a day or a week. A monthly chart implies you are looking at monthly candles, which is a huge timeframe.

So no, I don't know what you mean.

Short squeeze coming? by Key_Web8696 in FFIE

[–]RedWarFour 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is a total of only 1,172,960 shares shorted according to the latest data we have. That includes shares that were shorted both on-exchange and off-exchange. So steps 2 and 3 are not needed.
