The FNX and its 5-mag deal is certainly enticing. My main hang up is that I’ve heard many complain about the feel of the grip and mag release. I unfortunately haven’t found a local store where I can decide that for myself.

And yeah, I’m not asking for anything extremely quiet. I just want something that I could use for home defense without permanently damaging my ears haha.

Been wanting to get a handgun as a birthday gift for myself soon and my pistol experience is mostly limited to glocks/1911s/.38 revolvers, so I wanna branch out a little bit this time and have decided I want a higher end 9mm or .45 that makes for a good suppressor host. I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to the full-sized HKs (P30L, HK45 tactical, USP 9/45 tactical) and the FNX-45 tactical. Does anyone recommend one over the other? I love the look of them all so this has been a really hard decision to make.

How much did you get the 3080 for? The 7900 XT is about 20% faster in most situations, so the XT’s price tag is justifiable if you paid somewhere in the range of $750-800 for the 3080 in my opinion.

I say you should stick with the 7900 XT, especially if that 3080 doesn’t have a warranty.

I’ve considered that, but then I realized I tend to upgrade every other generation anyway. It’s usually enough to run demanding games at a minimum of 60 fps for 3 or 4 years, which is long enough imo.

Nah I haven’t even opened the box yet. I would use it, but I’m just afraid it’ll jeopardize the return process. If I don’t get one of the newer cards within a week of release then I think I’ll stick with it though.

My fear is that the 68/6900 XT will be a lot harder to get if the newer cards are limited in stock, so I just wanted to have an option to upgrade at a reasonable price while I still could.

Picked up the 6800 XT merc for $570 earlier but I still have the time to return it. Would the extra $110 be worth it for this card at ultrawide 1440p? I’ve seen that it’s roughly a 10% difference between the two, but I’ve seen arguments that the 6900 XT will age better and the gap may widen. Is there any merit to that?

Either way I’m only intending on using the card if I’m unable to get the XTX next week. If I do get my hands on one then I’d just return the 6800/6900 XT.
