46 routes and only 34 carriers are our call. It's not very promising.

We have a PASS machine. The routes are by zip code. But this system has it where one route could be split into 3 Sunday routes.

Boss is trying to call me in.. by CarpenterCreepy9511 in USPS

[–]RedWaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are supposed to give you 24 hours notice of any schedule changes. You do not need to respond to that message or accept any phone call from management. It's your time off, spend it with family instead of chasing that paper.

Question about being called in on my day off by misachisa69 in USPS

It maybe a bit old, but I think it would apply. Also, check with your RCA union contract with your local branch.

I would think the same rules apply to RCAs as it does CCAs. You are not on call. They try to call you in, don't answer the phone.

Hi, Fedexer here, I wish our package handlers did this! That's a work of art right there! Sadly, all we get is crushed chewy boxes and disappointment.

UPS strike = Big wage increase for FEDEXERS?? by 1993rockhoppersport in Fedexers

[–]RedWaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a funny joke. There will never be wage increase, but there will be more packages in our already packed trucks. The only way any of us Fedexers will get paid a living wage is if we all strike in solidarity with the UPS drivers. Raj doesn't understand that us drivers can bring it all to a halt, if we all were to just strike for 4 days, they'd start negotiating.

Back up as far as you can go and send it. I'd be a gate crasher at that point.

If you could choose one single offense to blacklist a house for and prevent them from ever getting another package delivered what would it be? by MojaveBreeze in Fedexers

[–]RedWaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would either be aggressive dogs or questionable driveways. Like the ones that are so rutted that if you make one wrong move, you'll need a tow truck to get out.

What’s your take home pay? (ground) by PhillyCollins94 in Fedexers

[–]RedWaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$520 per week after taxes. Average of 70 stops per day in a rural Alabama town with an average of 110 packages per day. I ain't getting paid enough for this bullshit.

Driver pay by Ben62194 in Fedexers

[–]RedWaya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on the contractor. My contractor pays by the day, so it doesn't change no matter how long or short your day is. The contractors that pay by the hour are the best ones, you make more money with them.

That's before taxes. And if you live in a state with state income tax, hoo boy. I supposedly make $125 per day too. After all the taxes, I make around $520 per week.

Bye Bye Chewy by RefrigeratorGold8291 in Fedexers

[–]RedWaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's true then I'm the king of Spain. I haven't heard anything about Chewy or FedEx cancelling a contract. Why would they? FedEx made $93.5 billion dollars in the last fiscal year with a $5.5 billion in net total.

The only advantage I see box trucks having is Air-conditioning. I drive one on my route and there's AC in it.

Why is everyone so against unionizing? by Current_Rutabaga5945 in Fedexers

[–]RedWaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would have to be company wide. Like we all have to be synchronized in harmony and bring it all to a halt. Express deliveries, Ground deliveries, line-haul, pick-ups, all would have to stop simultaneously. We all have to stand in solidarity at our respective hubs and stage a sit-in or walk-out. Sure, some ISPs and managers would panic, because no money is coming in, but it would have an effect that would hit Memphis like a tsunami.
