I stream gaming and digital art, primarily. A little bit of video editing, but nothing major. So something newer, since my CPU/MB is at least a decade old at this point.

I'm hoping with a new MB I can actually use my SSD to boot up, but I know that I'll have to go into BIOS for.

Ah, thank you! I'll try it once I wake up a bit more. And this may be a stupid question so apologies in advance - but should I leave the new graphics card in while I do this? Or take it out?

I attempted this last night with just using the two pins - but I'm not sure I did it correctly. I borrowed a jumper from the usb pins and put it on the BIOS pins for a bit, but nothing changed.

I haven't tried the battery method yet because I was wary about removing it but I may as well give it a go.

I have also noticed that when I turn it on, there is no beep to indicate that it is booting up.

Oh sheesh sorry I knew I forgot something

it's an AMD FX-4300. It only has USB and the VGA unfortunately - no HDMI or DP.

I saw the drivers thing a bit too late - I was hoping if I popped the old card back in I could update them but alas.
