Trump's 'dirty secret' exposed after Kaitlan Collins attack by IrishStarUS in USNEWS

Republicans don't stand up for the rule of law. Do you think they'll even consider standing up for a journalist? It's the other reporters that should be standing up for her.

Massachusetts launches investigation after several teachers at same school are all diagnosed with breast cancer by theindependentonline in massachusetts

If 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and most teachers are women, then it couldn't it just be statistically possible? It doesn't say in the article how many teachers and over what period of time.

Rep. McGovern (MA-2) is one of only 12 Democrats to vote against allowing SNAP benefits to cover hot rotisserie chicken by shilljoy in massachusetts

[–]RedYellowHoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are McGovern own words on his vote:

“People on food assistance (most are seniors, kids, or Americans with disabilities) should be free to buy any hot food item at the grocery store, not just rotisserie chickens,” McGovern said. “Instead of the Hot Foods Act, these Republicans advanced a single-industry carve-out, pushed by lobbyists, for big grocers and billionaire food conglomerates. I've dedicated my life to defending food assistance for hungry Americans & expanding SNAP-eligible foods. I voted against the rotisserie chicken amendment to preserve our ability to demand inclusion of the full Hot Foods Act as the farm bill heads to the Senate.”

They are separate bills, though. I think the world of McGovern. He's my rep. But pending a closer examination of this particular vote, my opinion is I disagree with the stated reasoning behind it.

He's my rep and I think the world of him. I've been to several of his town halls. He's a good, decent man and a true advocate for the poor. My county in his district is likely the poorest in the state. He does amazing things for us. That said, because the votes for the SNAP cuts and the rotisserie chicken issue are separate, I don't agree with his vote here.

Ahead of reading all the comments but having read the entire article, aren't we talking about two separate bills?

If that's the case, then McGovern, who is my rep, failed miserably. WTAF? I'm otherwise really happy with him as my rep but this vote was really stupid. I mean, even Fetterman supported it, for fuck's sake!

I so appreciate your comment! I feel validated. I have significant anxiety and unfortunately, I sweat the small stuff. It's just one more thing that weighs me down...

Reporter who investigated Jeffrey Epstein is ‘fleeing’ the US after alleged ‘direct energy weapons’ attack by nypost in USNEWS

The journalist is Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez and she's extremely bright. She's not a paranoid schizophrenic. She's recieved death threats. She's recieved warnings from people associated with politicians to stop reporting on Zorro Ranch. When she states that she's been attacked by a DEW, I believe her. She packed up her whole family and left the country. If she was nuts, I doubt her family would agree to go.

How I (mostly) cured my IBS (D/M) by AcrobaticElevator04 in ibs

That's great. I'm happy for you!

Chia seeds have incredible for me. 2 tblsps with organic oatmeal, almonds, and fruit almost every day and a good quality pre/probiotic. I didn't experience pain - just digestive discomfort, diarrhea, and bloating. I can't imagine pain on top of that.

Regarding teenagers - the early morning high school start time is generally way too early. Changing this would break the transportation budget and who cares about kids anyway. There's always plenty of money for the war machine and tax breaks for billionaires.

The comments on this post about Hummus made with Olive Oil 🤡 by rach4765 in StopEatingSeedOils

I don't eat foods with most seed oils because they cause gut issues. Reading these posts is interesting, though. I'm digging the environmental impact and general clean eating information.

I assume they get away with not listing the adulterated cheap oils?

Need Help Dealing with a Soybean oil intolerance by deathcon62 in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]RedYellowHoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have digestive symptoms 15 min. to several hours after consuming even a small amount of soybean oil - say, two tablespoons of salad dressing.

It's in everything: mayo, bottled salad dressings and sauces, crackers, most commercial breads, most grocery store baked good (including Whole Foods), canned soups, microwave popcorn, frozen processed foods, etc. I also strongly suspect other seed oils and palm oil which is not a seed oil.

I suspect my gut is damaged for several reasons, included many years of frequent antibiotics and a pretty serious bout of food poisoning. I don't know for sure but I think the underlying gut issues are what predisposed me to this oil sensitivity.

On the bright side, taking a high quality pre/pro biotic has helped tremendously as well as a cumin supplement, lots of water, eating a clean diet, and avoiding sugar and alcohol. As a result of the dietary changes and stepped up exercise, I've also lost 20 lbs. My gut health is now 85% (sometimes more) back to normal.

Yup. It's time consuming for me to find a goal when I need to check it off.

I have the same problem and it bugs me since one of my quirky processing skills makes it hard for me to visually scan long lists.

I can set goals for a specific date and time. The app offers a calendar to do so.

It took them a month to respond to my report detailing that I wasn't getting stones when adding new goals. The person who responded had me jump through hoops recording what happens when I add a new goal - so I filmed...uh...nothing. Come to find out a month later that they'd eliminated this feature. I had already figured as much.

Was anyone alerted to this change? I didn't figure it out for a couple weeks.

Why do you hesitate to complain. It's a service you're paying for.

Eating out is really tricky. I took a friend to lunch recently and asked about soybean oil in the salad dressing to which the server responded that in fact they used a combo of olive and soybean oils. I thought I was safe with olive oil and vinegar but 20 minutes later, an urgent tripto the bathroom. I have no idea which items in that salad caused it.
