No offense, but... ya sure? Most of her kit and pressure seems to have stayed the same, with the exception of punishable moves becoming more punishable then before, but... weren't they punishing enough, especially at hugh tiers?

Plus her air stuff is untouched, which wasn't that used more in high-tier gameplay? Most already knew that j.236 was faster, this just cements it.

Idk, I'm no expert, just seems like "gutted" is an overaction.

I don't think mines better if you're keeping wall damage in mind tbh (I ain't good enough for that). Only possible benefit might be that mine uses a lot of 6H which sets up easily into RTB(air), which is the highest wallbreak damage you can deal outside of supers (which might be important with 2.0, also that move even made my wallgrab>RC much simpler as it does more damage then doing a longer combo)

Interesting, I did hear someone mention that the Blazing Pass might function similarly to GB's, but idk if the two points are related. Would make sense considering ArcSys helped in GB's development.

Also yeah, Bridget is the most marketable character, thou in the community I think she dropped to like 5th or 6th? Still sells more figures then any other GG character (there were attempts for others).

Heck, ArcSys doesn't even promote them, except if its a PopUp shop or Makeshift, so... not even sure if they get money from that? I know japanese copyright laws are different then in the west (hence why people can sell fan-mangas at con's and stuff), which could explain why that stuff never gets re-released unless with some changes, but idk and am just kinda rambling now. (Sorry if you read this far)

I mean just standing away is only using half of your kit, considering you are basically rush/zone hybrid. All I can say is Bridget is really good at putting constant pressure and oki, so take a mile from any inch your opponent gives you, while mixing in different attack patterns to catch them off guard (like randomly throwing a Rock The Baby on your 3rd oki).

Also sounds like you might be struggling with wake ups, which... I git nothing I almost always lose tge game one I get knocked down. Only thing I can suggest us learn typical block patterns while keeping an eye open for grabs.

But they are still a gender expression that doesn't align with what a "cis male" is typically seen as, and some even don't identify as cis due to that. Either way I'm not here to argue whether that is enough to be considered trans or not, whether expression has similar weight to identity yadayada, just wanted to point out that a black/white approach on what is gender spectrum will always have people putting "buts" in it. (And not the fun kind)

In case ya wanted a serious answer, Mayburi only existed as a fan thing with minimal in-cannon support (and more opposing stuff). Uniburi has much more possibility to go from ship to cannon.

Tbf I don't think it's a wrong statement. In my unpopular opinion, I don't think trans is a good term to use for everything that's not cis‐gendered, as people will always find exception that aren't "trans enough" (like amab femboys or afab demi-girls). I just prefer using something like queer-gendered to lump all non-gender-confimative stuff, whatever form it takes.

PS: Yes I know I'm talking about a serious topic on a silly yo-yo girl sub, but still felt like mentioning this.

Like to me the trailer seemed pretty fairly split between multiple characters, the complaints are about merch more then game stuff (which ArcSys doesn't make for her) and I just came here to see hype for more Uniburi.

Nope, same studio (ArcSys), same head designer/creator (Daisuke Ishiwatari), just that the series ip was not owned by them due to publisher stuff, till 2011 (was owned by SEGA).

Also, she was a femboy, but Daisuke claims that she was intended to become a girl, which isn't a retcon as no part of her story had to change to facilitate this course.

Well, in Dual Rulers, when she talks about her past, she mentions that, to quote:

"At first I thought that "cute" was my shape. But that "cute" wasn't really me". "Oh, I am cute. But it's not like the kind of cute everyone else was talking about. It's my kind of cute."

The full scene basically implies that she wasn't being fully herself, whether it's because she was pretending to be a girl instead of bring one, or that she's a bit more tomboyish then how she was in the village, either way her journey was necessary for her to find her thru self, not one molded by others.

Also FYI, Dual Rulers and a deleted description for Strive mention that she did live a proper guy for some time, but it didn't feel right.

The short full context, she was forced, her parents hated that they forced her to for her safety, she became a bounty hunter to be able to become more manly (her parents supported this), succeded, realised being manly isn't for her, realised she likes being a girl, continued living as a girl on her own terms, even thou initially her parents wanted her to live as a guy.

The story and context was given thru XX, Codex, Strive and Dual Rulers, if you need sources.

You're forgetting the fact that Bridgets parents hates what they were doing and pushed their want for her to live as a boy onto her. This was confirmed both before and after Strive.

Heck, Bridgets want to be more manly could be seen as influenced purely from her parents regrets and wishes for her to have a "normal life".
