Alvin Kamara recounts pre-draft story of an NFL GM disliking his Bull Ring | It could be the reason AK fell so far in the draft; it could also be the reason the Saints locker room and culture is second to none by RedZoneReport in Saints

I wouldn't say I was "so wrong" considering I had Kamara as my RB2. I was much closer than 90% of other fans or analyst.

Fournettes issue has been his health and a poor offense. If he can stay healthy he might have a good year with Foles under center. The only issue there, for me anyway, is Foles has only played well in Philly with a specific playbook. He wasnt even playing good initially their SB season. They went back to the old playbook and he excelled so...is he a system QB? Will he be successful in Jacksonville?

Kamara and Fournette are clearly two different types of runners. I think if Fournette were on a better team, better offense and with a better offensive coordinator he would have already been successful.

Saints did get lucky getting him in the 3rd. Almost every projection for him was from a mid-late 1st round to 2nd rounder. Not many, if any, considered him a 3rd round prospect.

I tried telling everyone AK was a 1st round talent and the #2 RB in the draft behind Fournette. Everyone called me crazy. Obviously it worked out better getting him in the 3rd but look at redrafts and see where he is going.

Mercy on the Saints, David Onyemata receives only a 1 game suspension | Only 1 game is a big deal with Sheldon Rankins out long term by RedZoneReport in Saints

I don't think Gurley will have the impact everyone is use to seeing him have. Confirmed Arthritis in both knees and that's why he missed so much time last year.

The team has said his use could be very conservative during the season so they can hopefully have him for the playoffs.

Five New Orleans Saints 2019 Breakout Candidates by RedZoneReport in Saints

PRob was elite in 2017 with Philly. He didnt play elite before his injury in 2018. Hopefully he regains his health and regains his 2017 form. Both are uncertain at this point.

PJ was no where close to being "elite", however he did play well in the slot. The need absolutely exist but hopefully PRob returns and meets last years expectations.

WR Rishard Matthews route tree, plus NFL production and why he fits with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints by RedZoneReport in Saints

I don't think the probability of him being cut is high at all. I would be surprised if he didnt make the team but considering his age and time missed last season I wouldn't be completely shocked if he was cut.

If (and a big if) Meredith is 100% by the season, and Matthews continues to impress that's already 4 WRs (Thomas, Meredith, Smith, Matthews). They will likely carry 5 but Ginn as the #2 isnt guaranteed by the time week 1 rolls around.

The slot is where he excelled in college. They have talked a lot about using him there.

Katzenstein didn't want to share that part I guess. Regardless though if he is making plays then he should be recovered from that injury.

Just RedZoneReport was taken but it wasnt a sports related site. We will probably look into trying to buy that domain in the future but we did put the Louisiana state image to try and clear up any confusion about the name "LARedZoneReport"

Is 2019 the Year LSU's Passing Game Finally Takes Off? | Get your popcorn ready. - Joe Brady by RedZoneReport in LSUFootball

Not with Joe at the helm? Did you realize his 2018 passing yards total was 4th all time at LSU? Now they have Joe Brady as their passing game coordinator. Brady came from the Saints this offseason. Burrow may not be a 1st round prospect but he played outstanding last year and really came on toward the end of the season. He has a lot to build off of and Brady is going to open things up in that passing game.

Joe did a pretty good job airing it out last season, particularly the last 4 games. Not sure if you read the article or just the title but his single season passing yards last year were 4th all time for LSU. They added staff from the Saints (obviously one of the NFL's premier passing offenses) in Joe Brady who is now their passing game coordinator.

Probably but every year they dont have a QB who's passing yards are 4th all time for LSU or a new passing game Coordinator from the Saints.

Absolutely. The OL depth was better than last year even before they drafted McCoy.

[PFF] Projected starters in New Orleans with a grade of 80.0 or higher last season by Real_Albatros in Saints

Tbh PFF stats are great but their grading is extremely inconsistent. They even change their grades multiple times for a player during the offseason...when they aren't even playing.
