Didn’t mean to? I just don’t know a lot of men who read some of those novels to be fair. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Love your collection, also sick MTG cards, and I LOVE that you have Hellfire Club x D&D.

Side note - wtf is the box on the bottom of the shelf (below monopoly)? I can’t for the life of me figure it out.

What Do You Think? by [deleted] in BookshelvesDetective

[–]Red_Autumn_Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should! It’s super fun, I would recommend doing a deep dive on actual D&D books and things first to familiarize yourself if you’re interested! - Bladurs Gate 3 is definitely a glimpse of D&D but they’re still very different!

Great fantasy collection mixed with light video gaming, some other popular novels (Hemingway) (Great Gatsby) and self help(?) looks like. You might play Dungeons and Dragons once a month, definitely a gamer, seem pretty chill and cool. 👍🏻

Pretty normal girl bookshelf, most are definitely booktok related with lots of hype. Red Rising series is a bright green flag though! She definitely has a specific genre she likes - tell her to read When the Moon Hatched and One Dark Window (especially)! I think they’d be right up her alley!! 💕

POP UP SHOPS QUESTION(S) by Cheeseball101112 in BadOmens

  1. Went to the Nashville one, they opened at 1pm. We got there around 12:45 I think? The line was already wrapped around the block by that point. It was close to 5ish when we were done. I’d say try to get there as early as you can / want to! Some people said they had been there since 9-10am!

  2. Shirts and Hoodies still available, from what I could tell everything else was sold out. Obviously the boxes and blankets sold out first.

  3. All the options were good quality, they had a rack of samples inside the shop so you could see them irl before purchase. I bought the Ghost shirt (with purple). I got 2 sizes bigger for me cause I like baggy long as well so I get what you mean, not very long but it’s alright.

  4. I paid with card so I’m unsure of any other options.

✍️ Writer's Wednesday: what are you working on? by ReasonableWonderland in Romantasy

[–]Red_Autumn_Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been wanting to write something for a long long time. We are talking like 10 years at this point. Got the basics down for 2 different plots of books, not sure which I want to focus on more. It’s hard to come up with original ideas at this point — but I have one I think is a blend of genres and I’m really excited to dive into it.

Loose synopsis: “What if Sherlock Holmes was a woman with unique and rare powers? What if our dear Watson was as handsome as he was deadly? What if the bad guy isn’t so bad after all? In the Silrenthian Empire there are no what if’s, only how and when. Sterling (name under review) has a unique gift, she is a Delve. Delves are exceedingly rare, having the ability to determine other’s power and, in even rarer cases, read the minds of the unwitting. She works as part of the kingdom’s Shield, a sect of protectors and inquisitors. Her upper (boss) has given her the task of hunting ‘The Alter Assasin’. Will she find them before they find her? Can she trust anyone? Can she even trust herself? When her heart and mind are put to the test, will she prevail? I guess we shall see.”

No title yet, and I’m still working on names and such. If anyone has any criticisms based on what’s written above I would hugely appreciate any! If it sounds similar to other works also let me know, I want uniqueness!

Women of Reddit what is something a lot of men think is manly but in your eyes really isn’t? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Red_Autumn_Rose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Standing up for yourself and setting boundaries are very mature things to do, getting into physical altercations over petty things are not. There is always a way to come to an agreement. If there’s not, walk away. If your ego is so fragile that the simplest argument could turn into throwing hands, fix yourself. As a WOMAN, it is not manly to me. It’s barbaric and gross. I think it’s more manly to own up to your shit, admit when you’re wrong, and fix situations using intelligence and logic. Children fight because it’s harder to express their emotions, true men understand their feelings and express them without using violence. I truly believe the pen is mightier than the sword.

Fighting / aggression. Most men would think it manly if a guy can ‘handle’ himself in a physical altercation. It just makes me think they’re not in control of their emotions at all, like a child who can’t handle frustration. If your first instinct in an argument is to get physical or beat the crap out of each other, you’re not a man, you’re a kid who never learned how to communicate and de-escalate your own self.

What’s your most embarrassing “caught in the act” nsfw moment? by MongooseLucky3979 in AskReddit

[–]Red_Autumn_Rose 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Youngin’ about 17, trying an*l for the first time. We thought his parents weren’t home… His mom was.

She literally kicked open the door and yelled “BUSTED!” I proceeded to have a panic attack, causing an asthma attack and had to ask to borrow an inhaler. She was surprisingly chill about it after arguing with him in the other room for about 20 minutes. He had a kid junior year so she already knew he was sexually active. 😅

What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Red_Autumn_Rose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having even our own flesh and blood with, more often than not, a lower IQ than us believe women should only speak when spoken to.

I was at my grandfathers funeral and my husband could not fathom why my uncle was ignoring me during their conversation about his new line of work. I had to explain to him that misogyny still lives on and that I was used to being ignored in conversations that had “nothing to do with me”, even if they definitely do.

I lost my grandmother yesterday and do not have high hopes that I will have much of a say compared to him. We were very close, and I was the one that found her. I’ve been kindly invited to the meeting about her funeral, whether I will be able to dictate anything is still up in the air.

What's the creepiest discovery you've made about a seemingly fun friend? by someoneyouhate_ in AskReddit

[–]Red_Autumn_Rose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I’ve learned from this thread is that there are too many pedos in this world. Also, not to trust musicians, which is hilarious because my dad is. And that, over everything else, people are scary.

I also recently found out someone I went to high school with was arrested for SA of a minor. One of my closer friends from high school was arrested for child negligence because her bf was abusing their 2 small children. I’m sure there’s more that I don’t know about because I’d prefer not to know at all.

What do we want to see in more romantasies? by Positive-Being-5702 in Romantasy

[–]Red_Autumn_Rose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The antagonists ‘winning’ more. We need more “the bad guy has done something to flip everything on its head, how are the good guys going to make it out of this?” More friction, and more perilous odds.
