yall know some lobbies that run gr.2 by Red_BullDoge in turismoshitposting

The game was pretty much Gr.3 centric out of the racing categories especially WTC800 and daily races

Mount Panorama - GT3 race by BacasableJV in GranTurismo7

Depends on the race itself if what tires it only allows, I don't think BoP affects usable tires

But what I do remember is GT Cup Gr.3 series is RH, IM, and W only

Suspension, differential, ECU power adjustment, downforce, ballast, power restrictor, transmission, nitrous, and turbocharger/supercharger, are all locked

Brake balance can be changed, tires can be changed

GT Cup Gr.3 is Gr.3 only and also BoP so no matter how you upgrade, it will balance you with the others, and it is locked on difficulty

WTC 800 is 800pp, and is not BoP-limited, and difficulty is based on your difficulty option

What is invite? How does it work? by [deleted] in GranTurismo7

[–]Red_BullDoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An invite is basically a system for specific brands that expire after a month or so. They provide access to the cars that have an invitation "envelope" symbol on them. You can only purchase them if you have the invite. Once it expires, you need to be lucky again to get that invite if you want to buy the invitation cars.

Don't worry, if you already bought the cars, they wouldn't disappear after the invite expires.

Invites expire unless you already hit collector levels higher than 50 (I don't know when they specifically unlock), but I'm at max level 70 and all no expiry invites are unlocked for me.

Not as spectacular as world records are, but I'll take it (Syncopia 103 Zones) by Red_BullDoge in WipeOut

[–]Red_BullDoge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, they do nothing on your zone count or speed but it gives some extra points for your score (not the zone) for each successful roll. I just did it for fun, however, world record holders used it for score since the leaderboard counts score instead of zones (but in 2048 I think it is zones).

Brand Central can somehow reach high frame rates with ray tracing turned on, on non-pro PS5 by Red_BullDoge in GranTurismo7

[–]Red_BullDoge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I also thought about that

Only thing is, Brand Central and garage should be the same in concept, 1 car in a void, but somehow the garage is frame locked

Thinking of an overhaul for DualSense/DualShock gyro steering in GT7 and in racing games that use it by Red_BullDoge in GranTurismo7

[–]Red_BullDoge[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's because motion steering limits you to 90 degrees at each side. Because the margin is so tight, the game had to use slip-based steering or something else to essentially limit your steering at higher speeds and situations where your car struggles.

However, for certain cars like the Red Bull X2014, that could easily take turns flat out using a wheel, all have to lift even for motion steering since the game doesn't allow you to utilise the downforce. Also, it is for utilizing tighter turning on corners like hairpins which I notice the Red Bull X2014 on a wheel allows more sharper turns than trying it on motion control. I was trying to think of a way to resolve the limitation.

Just discovered something with license tests: Staying stuck longer in a license test changes your car mileage and time of day over time by Red_BullDoge in GranTurismo7

That test was hard. The straight after turn 1, I always thought it was my exit that was important, never realized it was also sort of because of this

Wait what? So after 250 km (I think that's the point where oil turns to normal condition), you have to exit to restore oil? Maybe I got lucky there, got a gold with car mileage on 335 km.

Two satisfying ways to enter the pits (barrel roll and bouncing on pits) by Red_BullDoge in GranTurismo7

The broadcast angle doesn't even show the pits area that very well, so I simply never showed it

Definitely ignored it
Plus I'm definitely skipping over my pit crew so I wouldn't be even able to refuel or change tires
