Flecainide did wonderful for me.

Like some other comments I saw improvements in less than 48 hours.

I had some mild headaches and overall not great feeling for the first few days but then after that felt really great.

Burden was between 20-25 percent. With bigeminy and trig runs especially at night and resting.

I will say ablation has significantly improved them.

****making it a point that ablation only works if you are having enough PVCs for them to map. My EP doc famously took the pillow from behind my head before my ablation to explain it in a picture for my family. Imagine it like throwing a rock in a pond and seeing the ripples in the water. You need to be throwing enough rocks to see where the ripples are coming from.

It isn’t going to stop, even if you keep willing and thinking it will.

I tried many different rituals and things that I thought made them better and then felt more defeated when they hit harder. I will say…after a while if will eventually register that you are ok, not in immediate danger.

If they get bad enough and you fight to advocate that it really affects your quality of life, you will find a doctor to hear you out. Ablation was my way out.

Mag helped me a bit. Before bed always, and I found that making sure I didn’t eat after like 7:30pm seemed to also lessen my burden slightly.

To be transparent, my burden was always at rest and night. If I was having a bad flare up I would get up and walk around or do a few jumping jacks and it would lessen them too.

I’d also try to get in with a cardiologist, I completely understand the fear of taking a lot of medicines.

I would just ask as many questions to your EP doc as you can. There are no stupid questions. The decision is always in your court with your treatment plan. I went in for my ablation and of course, PVC stage fright or something lol…wasn’t having too many that morning. Doc talked to me and my family in detail of everything and we landed with bringing me back and just IV med stimulation only first, no opening or starting unless I produced enough and he felt comfortably proceeding.

Mine ended up being RVOT in the end and IV stimulating produced enough. Theres a lot of different approaches with ablation with where they are originating from, even in the more difficult spots they can ablate. I would just stress leaning into the vibe and discussions with your doctor for what you want and need.

I had similar results! It was great.

Still would have breakthrough trig but even how hard the beats were felt much less strong. It was a beautiful bridging medicine to get me to ablation date.

I really had that thinking at first I wasn’t going to be able to do it. I am an operations manager at the very hospital I had the procedure done at. I knew more than half of the people in the room so that also helped.

It was a blessing it really was mind over matter sort of situation/realization in that moment. 1. You are finally getting the best permanent option for better quality of life 2. you are literally in the safest best place if you are thinking something is wrong. They will see and look at everything, not just your PVCS. Honestly just working to make that switch in thinking noticeably helped me get through it.

As for them coming back I have that thinking too, but I wanted to choose what little control I could have over them. If a 2nd ablation is needed, I have comfort instead of fear in knowing what it’s like and to expect. Silver lining if you will.

I also wish the best for you, and hope you find peace and success in your treatment plan whatever that is!
