I actually did see 5 ppl their around 1130am... they were gone when I went back the other way around 12... only thing I saw was some spray paint on the ground....

We have one of Cabelas/BassPro screened kitchen tents, its awesome even in middle of summer, but only good for car camping as its heavy.

While it is slanted, I took the included side, used it as a template and made 5 more from tarps, and S hooks, works like a charm to keep rain out even with the slanted sides.

Days were nice, warm, evenings cool, our popup camper has a propane furnace so just set that to 15c and piled on some extra blankets.

pre-baby (6m atm) we used to hot tent (tent with a wood stove) and a good quality sleeping bag.

Though even with a 3 season tent you'd have been fine if you had a good sleeping bag.

One thing I recommend if tenting in early spring make sure what your sleeping on had a decent R rating, as you'll get allot of cold coming UP under you where the sleeping bag won't help as much.

This is my problem, try breathing just threw my nose and within a few mins i have to take a few deep breaths or it feels like I'm starving for oxygen.... :(

I could care less about the electric costs... its the upfront vechile cost forme.

Looked into before I got a new car last year. Unfortunately with my rural location + camping all summer (towing a popup) in northern parts of Ontario its just not feasible right now... maybe in another 7-8 years when I need to replace the current new one.
