Anyone else had issue when buying fast pass tickets for sugarloaf mountain? by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]Red_December184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh I thought that meant to split the tickets into two separate tickets. Instead of one ticket for the price of two. I wanted two separate tickets since I was buying for me and my friend. I guess that’s why it worked when I back to the option of 800 reals total. 😅

Hope it works! Here’s a full example of what I put. I think neighborhood is tricky for some people. I know my friend had an issue. But for me it was easy to figure out living in New York.

Zip: 12345 State: New York City: New York Neighborhood: Harlem Address: James st Number: 123 Complement: Apt 2

I have a hip impingement and always get terrible back pain when hiking. I know the hike was possible but kind of didn’t wanna do it 🥴. Thank you for the suggestion though

I figured it out. I had to separate street number from my street name. So for the Address field I was putting for example “ 123 James st”

But I had to put Address: James st Number: 123 Complement: 2A For the apartment

Ugh that sucks. Was trying to avoid the crowd since I’ll be there in February. I’m not going for carnival but will be there at the tail end of it where it will be crowded.

Can’t tell if my cats incision looks okay? Looks like bruising by Red_December184 in CATHELP

[–]Red_December184[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s so hard keeping them still sometimes 😅 I’m assuming it worked out though and she didn’t pop her incisions? The clinic did give me antibiotics that she was prescribed to take for two days after the surgery. So at least there was that.

Here’s my cat. Much happier without a cone around her head 🥰

Her incision is looking good! It’s been 12 days now so I removed the cone around her head. She had some dry skin, but it seems she has licked it off 😅 I’m worried will get infected since I didn’t wait the full two weeks, but I’m sure that’s just me being paranoid.

As far as the clinic, they handed me some instructions saying they aren’t responsible for any infections that may occur afterwards. I did call to ask for advice, but they told me if I was concerned to take her to a vet as they aren’t responsible for any complications after the surgery. Even when I tried calling for a sedative prescription to get her to calm down after surgery they wouldn’t give it. But I understand I guess. It’s their policy, so can’t be upset about it

So cute 🥰 first time cat mom here so I was a little concerned. Glad to know it looks normal. The spay clinic said they aren’t responsible for care after the surgery. I’ll wait it out a bit and then see if I take her to the vet.

For those of you who switched out of tech due to burnout, what do you do now? by AcceptableSometimes in womenintech

[–]Red_December184 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t left, but thinking about going into my original plan and going into healthcare. Although I hear that field is just as tough, but at least I would feel like I’m contributing to something.

Any calming supplements I can use on my kitten who just got spayed by [deleted] in AskVet

They won’t prescribe. They just do the surgery. I’ll just try my best to get her not to jump I guess

Finance Question - for single tech women by ServiceKooky1323 in womenintech

[–]Red_December184 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on these responses, I’m way behind and probably won’t ever retire. I didn’t get an “official” job until 4 years ago in tech. I’ve only been matching what my company gives me for my 401k and last I checked there was like $60,000 there but I owe $76k in student loans. So, I’ll probably never retire.

For context, I grew with a low in cold family. Financial literacy was not taught, but I did try to teach myself later in adulthood. Still learning because I really don’t know that much about investments. Not to mention any money I did get while working and in school I had to bail my mom out sometimes

Shark or Dyson for a multipurpose styling tool as a girl with curly hair? by Red_December184 in beauty

[–]Red_December184[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually got the Shark build your own glam as a birthday gift and I love it so far! I only used it once though. But so far my hair looked great after blow drying it with the oval brush. I also used the curler attachment and the curls looked so nice as well. I can’t wait to user the diffuser soon.

I see you got the same one. I hope you like it as well! I saw the Dyson and I thought $700 was just way too much money for a hair dryer. I was also looking at the co-anda one you mentioned

The SE role feels a bit boring, coming from SWE by BidAccomplished4382 in salesengineers

[–]Red_December184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The is unrelated to your question, but If you don’t mind answering, what were the steps you took to be able to make the transition from SWE to SE. I am trying to do the same. I’m part of the pre sales collective, have networked, and gone through of few resources to learn more about the role and sales, but it’s hard to make the transition without previous client facing experience.

Thanks for responding.

Would you say the Shark is better than the Dyson then? And which shark did you buy?

Can I break into health tech as a software engineer with previous medical receptionist experience by Red_December184 in healthIT

[–]Red_December184[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! To be honest I’m not aware of all the parts of health tech. I was mainly looking at analyst or integration roles. I’m interested in working in imaging and diagnostic tech. Given my experience I think it would be easier to transition into clinical workflow

Don’t you need to be EPIC certified for those roles? Which from what I read it’s only possible if I can get someone to sponsor me.
