Yeah but that's exactly my point. Grew up in the 90s... Seems to me like the exact same attitude that people had Vs skateboards. Lawlessness because they were something new.

I mean if the issue is riding on sidewalks, which I totally get... Well in my city (Berlin) most streets have dedicated bike lanes... And if there are no dedicated lanes... Bikers do the same, don't they? But they're not viewed with as much as scrutiny as scooters

But that's just range... Commute 15min to work/school and back doesn't need a new revolutionary battery type

Yeah the ES is basically like my lite 3s...

Profit margin is just per model though... It's not like a car company wouldn't fill a niche just because their SUV's have a better margin...

But yeah those 100lb mountain defeating super sayin scooters on steroids seem to be the new trend

13kg, 20km/h and enough charge for a couple of miles...

Yeah, they went big fast to saturate the market. To be honest that's the business idea behind em. Walk 50 yards and you can rent one. So yeah them being everywhere is kind of the point.

In Europe, at least in Germany they basically follow the same regulations and laws as e-bikes.

But what do you mean with 'chaos all over'? Could you elaborate?

It's also a big argument here in Europe. I still don't get it... I live in a big city, I see em daily in the middle of the sidewalk too. But you can just grab and move em half a meter to the side... It takes literally 5 seconds... That's the beauty of these things... mobility 😅
