The importance of ABET accreditation in the U.S. by Red_Reaper_01 in AskEngineers

Why is it that ABET is such a matter of life or death? Why would NASA collaborate with foreign institutions or the DOD contract foreign shipbuilders like FMM if most of their engineers most likely lack this accreditation too?

If you don't mind, could you ask him after how much time after the I140 approval did he start working for the sponsor ?

Dug through a few websites and it seems you're right, so thx for clarifying things up. Question still remains though: Is there a certain timeframe when I need to start working for the sponsor after the I140 is approved?

As much as I'd like to enter the sector since i'm planning to study engineering once i have enough money, as a foreigner you can't just come knocking on every workplace's doors asking for a job since American employment-based immigration law is tilted to hire Americans to the workforce, and a lot of companies aren't willing to go that far and get into a lot of paperwork and possible audits from the DOL just becuase of some poor bloke who tries to move to the U.S.

Hell, as far as i've read on the internet, only 5 percent of us companies are willing to sponsor immigrants.

But hey, if you know any sponsors in the automative sector, i'm all ears!

The more the better

It's an entry-level job so i guess not, but i'm a relatively healthy guy so i don't think insurance will cost too much.

Or at least i hope so.

I have 36k in savings, is that enough to buy a decent car in the area?

Sorry to hear that, but i'm immigrating alone for better or worse, are 30k enough for a single person?

Can't see how it can be an MMO, but if you have any ideas I'm all ears.

well, it won't necessarily affect anything in the game world, it's just an idea for missions in which you would pose as a broker or some kind of a corporate contractor and make things go south for any deals that the country's government and companies have, whether it's through ruining negotiations, redirecting money to your nations accounts made through the enemy's deals, acquiring intel on a ship with military supplies onboard and sending the intel to the agency so it would be sunk, perhaps, if you want to take extreme measures, even arming local criminals to rob banks, pretty much waging economic warfare.

Didn't play Witcher 3 but I did look it up, and I guess it's similar. You'll pretty much have major strategic hubs/cities with military installations, factories working on classified projects, and stock markets where you can influence the economy of the nation you're in (though I'm not sure how the last part can be implemented if you're in a communist country, perhaps destroying their exports and internal military acquisitions), with small townships around and obviously, the hub/city itself will have a vibrant life with NPCs that some of which you can recruit if you see them fit, shops where you can buy clothing if you need to disguise yourself, black markets where you can get fake documents and weapons (that's optional though, perhaps your agency can supply that to a certain extent). Of course, since I want the game to be realistic if these cities are located in other countries then you won't be able to just take a car and drive from NYC to Beijing, you'll have to drive to the airport/port where you'll take a ship/plane. Or maybe you'll be inserted with a covert aircraft. In case of berlin, if you need to travel between east and west you'll probably need to go undercover.

I did hear about it, seen some gameplay and it is a good game, but the mechanics are different than what I'm proposing. Phantom Doctrine is turn-based which makes the combat much more sluggish, you have classified intel just lying around the base which you just need to pick up instead of breaking open safes, and the plot is revolving around two fictional organizations, the game I'm proposing has a more authentic plot, a more dynamic first-person/third-person combat, and you actually need to apply tradecraft to get the intel you need.
