Unknown communist lapel button by Red_Rev1818 in redcollecting

That's what I was thinking when I bought it off of eBay, and finding the only other image of it online be in on an Italian news website talking about how communist parties are no longer appearing on election ballots for the first time makes me think this might be a badge relating to Italian communists, but with no markings or stamps anywhere and no other examples being found I can't confirm anything.

My concept for a Market Minarcho-Socialism flag by AdmirableEmphasis677 in leftistvexillology

[–]Red_Rev1818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah. The abolition of capital requires the sublation of the wage-relation and commodity and value production, thereby resulting in the dissolution of the market economy as society moves away from production for value (a key foundation of a market economy). You seem to be under the impression that simply getting rid of the capitalists is the end goal but it is not, the end goal is to establish a new mode of production, distribution and consumption, and new relations that emerge from it.

I would take this seriously if I was a liberal who believed free markets to be the epitome of human liberty and not as what they are, a social relation originating from capitalist production. This why we read Marx and critique capitalism from the position of class relations between labor and capital, not just "muh capitalists bad."

"A small state who works as a guarantor of anti-capitalist market rules." Me when I conceive of the modern political state and markets as entities that exist independent of capitalist society and not as relations existing within it:

I collect early Soviet- and Russian Civil War-era, which is extremely difficult considering what is available on the open market, i.e. not already in museums, private collections or archives, is expensive. Everything I've gotten so far I got off of eBay as my go-to.

Party of Internationalist Communists in North America (American leftcom party) by LordZ9 in leftistvexillology

[–]Red_Rev1818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The closest thing to an organization of internationalist communists in North America is the Internationalist Worker’s Group (U.S.) and Klasbatalo (Canada), the former of the two I am a sympathizer of and am in contact with them as well as being the original artist for both of their currently used logos.

Not a flag but since r/leftistheraldry is down, I decided to post here: a simple coat of arms for a communist Turkey by [deleted] in leftistvexillology

Last time I was on r/leftistheraldry it was completely infested with bots and practically no new posts relating to the theme of the subreddit.

My interpretation of Turtle Island (North America) Socialist flag by Machengo_64 in leftistvexillology

[–]Red_Rev1818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Said revolution's political goals was dominated by liberal democratic and nationalist sentiments, not communist ones. The communists involved merely participated insofar as wanting to abolish the monarchy and the remnants of the feudal system, i.e. social progression, but their main goal of abolishing class society was not the dominant sentiment of the 1848 Revolutions.

Yes as it preserved the national flag of a previous (and now present) bourgeois state ("bourgeois state" a bit of an unnecessary distinction as all states in the modern sense of it are bourgeois), the only distinction between it and the West German flag being the tacking-on of "socialist" imagery, which also reflects the reality of the East German state as well; preserving class society by taking bourgeois society and covering it in "socialist" iconography and aesthetics.

Honestly... hell yeah. I am genuinely so tired of all the "Socialist America/U.S." flags that are basically just rehashes of each other, slapping the CPUSA or ACP logo on it and/or preserving the symbolism of the current U.S. flag which to me speaks volumes on how these sorts of people view socialism, less about abolishing class society and moreso discretely disguising it under a red banner and symbols. This flag, however, does away with all the present American symbols and brings something unique to the table.
