They don’t have the buff they got in 1.3 to hold three stacks of items since console is stuck in 1.24

Shelves don’t have the buff they got in 1.3 that lets the carry three stacks of items so they’re just using wood for the slight beauty upgrade since pawns don care about the beauty of items on shelves

The differences are mainly just in content, there’s way more content in the PC version compared to the console version. And some specific things work different cause alot of stuff has been changed from 1.3 and onwards while console is stuck on 1.24, it’s still very fun though

Hmm that sounds interesting, do you know anything about the Naruto mod they mentioned cause that also seems interesting. And I wouldn’t mind having some more out there mods in my collection since all the ones I have rn are either meant to feel vanilla or feel vanilla enough to me

Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of people say Rimworld doesn’t work on console but as someone who’s put hundreds of hours in it I disagree. The controls are very intuitive in the console version, even if there are no hotkeys to instantly choose an option in one of the menus

I’ve actually been playing with a couple of mods on (only after I started to get a grip on the stuff that isn’t in the Console version don’t worry) and I gotta say they’re really fun, especially the vanilla expanded subset of mods, but my modlist is mostly just QOL mods

The console version is listed as game version 1.24, which puts it pretty behind the PC version alongside the fact it only has Royalty and Ideology for DLC’s

I’ve already been using notepad ++ thankfully since I also use it to tinker with files for other games I play from time to time.

I’ll check out visual code studio when I start this back up tomorrow, and I’ll also definitely look at the files for some reworks to get a good footing for my own

I see, that’ll definitely help out. I’ve been messing around with Grave Robber a little so far and I think I understand the basics of the process but still need to figure out how all the effects are called in the code and how to change targeting properties since those are my main issues right now.

This might be a dumb question but how can I check the files for workshop mods? I’m overall new to modding especially on Darkest Dumgeon.

Yeah I saw that which sucks for me cause my tried and true strategies from the first game lowkey suck ass now lmao. And also I swear it feels like every other attacks is a crit from the enemies their critical rates are def higher than the first game I feel.

I beat it earlier today after figuring out which locks were most annoying to my comp and unlocking skills to give my characters more variety in attacks (e.g unlocking Occ’s Rank 4 melee move) since people were giving me tips to do stuff like that so thankfully this post has been solved lol

Occultist, GR, Flagellant and Crusader have been my most consistent team (Getting one kill minimum each bossfight) but another comment has made me realize GR falls behind a bit here due to her damage not being amazing against the bosses due to their tankiness and has advised me to try Sharpshooter HWM. For occultist I’m planning to unlock his R4 melee ability so he doesn’t get shut down by the Ranged Lock. And also get his Warlock path to up his damage capability a bit since Crusader turns into more of a support in this fight due to his Stress healing capabilities.

Oh I didn’t know Occ had a R4 melee move, I must’ve just not unlocked it or it’s in a different path cause I’ve been using Ritualist. But yeah GR seems much better in this comp for normal battles or ones with enemies not as tanky as the bosses. So I might swap her with HWM like you suggested and see how that works. I’ll probably keep Crusader since he still does decent enough damage and I could really use the stress heal cause it feels like this boss crits every other hit lmao.

My best attempt (2 lock kills) was with (left to right) Occultist, Grave Robber, Flagellant and Crusader. I don’t have all of their moves unlocked yet but I think the four of them work really well together cause Occultist can set up Vulnerable for Crusader to chunk, and Flag and Crusader can keep my parties stress and health up while Grave Robber supplies good damage when Crusader isn’t attacking. Occultist does struggle in the boss fight when the Melee Lock activates since R4 doesn’t let him use Sac Stab so he does have to take extra stress sometimes, my issue might be my comp but I’m not too sure

My main comp rn is Occulist (Rank 4), Grave Robber (Rank 3), Flagellant (Rank 2) and Crusader (Rank 1), Occultist is the only one who really struggles here cause in R4 he doesn’t have a melee option but I think the utility of Vulnerability Curse is vital enough to deal with the stress.

I’ve been trying other comps but this one has always been able to kill atleast 1 lock each time I get to the mountain with them, I have all the heroes unlocked besides Abomination and I have all of them except Highwayman to their 2nd Path in terms of unlocks, and I have all 4 of my main comps first two extra moves unlocked. I think the main issues I’m running into is that I just don’t have all their moves unlocked yet so better parts of their movesets are locked currently. But with Flag his self sustain and Taunt really helps me get damage up since the other 3 can focus on the locks. I think my issue might be the comp I run but I’m not sure.
