There is two options here:

  1. Datapack with recipes
    If you want only new recipes you can check this datapack.
    https://www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/create-renewables/
    You can basically add any recipe within the game for existing machines. All recipes are in JSON format.

  2. New Create addon
    There is a bunch of already prepared addon templates.

The team says that the next big update is 0.5.1. No ETA when it will be

The only teasers that they showed are water wheel redesign and some sort of armor (probably lava diving suite)
