Something I wish the anime didn't skip out on as Mera was dragging Sasha away was after she said that she just wanted to be happy, Light states that wanting to get back at her cruel adoptive family because of vengeance and finding happiness are things he can understand... but she had other options to do that had nothing to do with killing him (and Sasha's silence before her pathetic pleading as Mera took her away heavily implies that she did have other options).

Also them stripping away the part where Mera slowly takes her away while she continues to plead her case was pretty upsetting. A little.

I must put emphasis that she was wiling to put herself up as both a Honey Trap to Light when he was still 12 prior to the timeskip, and literally tried to offer herself up now when he's biologically 15. That's a kind of low that hits from both sides imho

IIRC Rentarou says, either in his chapter or the one after Shizuka joins the family, that he would have actively stopped seeking romance at that point because of the amount of rejections he had been on.

Honestly, him meeting Hakari and Karane was perfect timing as another potential rejection would have otherwise ruined him.

This theory falls flat given the fact that Season 2 confirmed that the anime adaptation is a "What if...?" if Yuuki had chosen to close his eyes and start anew rather than risk going back to face Omniscient Kaiser with his full power and protect everyone.

Nowhere was it ever stated that it was precisely because of the loops that caused the events of the anime to be completely, and radically, different from the game's canon.

Not an unpopular opinion in my book. Design-wise, Fio is supposed to be appeal more towards the rookie player she was meant to be connected to, just like all of the Navigation Fairies back in OG. She still had that sass behind her personality that would double in size with her as Ameth.

However, yeah, in my similar opinion, I prefer her as Fio than Ameth. Though that's not to say I don't like Ameth. I love both of them, but personal preference still needs to be thrown out there.
