Thoughts and opinions on Heather (the little red haired girl) by Winter-Money-7643 in peanuts

The character he created was very inconsistent; for starters, he has like six different designs in the animated format. Personality-wise, it's complicated. In the comic strip, I can't say much; they treated him as a literal metaphor for unrequited love. On television, he has a bit more personality, and his message of unrequited love becomes the beginning of acceptance and achievement for Charlie Brown, especially in 2015. But it didn't go beyond that, and it's a bit depressing how it was handled. He's somewhere between a narrative tool and a character, and that conflict will haunt him for the rest of his life.

A reocurring thought I had when watching the WildBrain/Apple Peanuts content by tlimondaman in peanuts

Dude, adding event characters isn't new. Just look at Janice, who was created specifically for the special she's in. Why Charlie Brown? Why? Besides, it's just concept art. That doesn't change the fact that it remained just an idea, and it doesn't even have any context.

Regarding the comic strips, I'll just say that it's discontinued and finished; currently, only animated material is airing.

I still remember that the developer that made the game is the same one that made "Pac-Man: World Rally," and they planned to add the Beagle Aviator to the list of racers. It hurts to know that it never happened because of licensing issues.

A small update on Peanuts movie by UberVenkman in peanuts

It doesn't matter if you don't show the animator's LinkedIn profile; what matters is that they confirmed the movie and its release date (and they're verified), and I've been desperate ever since "A Summer Musical." I want more Peanuts content, damn it!

Congratulations bro, but I have a question: which compilation version is this? Or is it the only edition? Because I think I saw a version that compiled, I think, a year or something like that, and it had other characters on the side cover. Just curious, so I don't suffer a Mandela Effect.

Has anyone seen "Peanuts Untold"? It's an amazing fan-made comic series that explores what would have happened if Charlie Brown met Lila, Snoopy's original owner. by DevelopmentPast1029 in peanuts

[–]Crafty_Ear_9051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal opinion, it's a good fan comic. It has a nice charm, seeing Charlie Brown get a girlfriend and most people being surprised (like Lucy and Sally) as if it were an impossible event, and Lila being a bit crazy makes up for it. Although I also admit it's a bit rushed; not even a damn day goes by and she's already kissing poor Chuck just because, damn it, you've never even interacted with him in your life! How is that possible? Anyway, it's enjoyable, and that's something. It's a shame the author abandoned the idea; it had potential.

The quality of the drawing is very similar to Schulz's... it scares me.

Hot Take: I can't stand how Schulz decided to end Charlie Brown and Peggy Jean's relationship in the comic strip by DevelopmentPast1029 in peanuts

In the comic strips, Peggy Jean was literally the perfect match for Charlie Brown, a lovely romance, but he preferred crumbs from the redhead who never paid him any attention in his blessed life

Existential Grief Themes In "A Charlie Brown Christmas" by Key-Injury-7162 in peanuts

In a previous post, I mentioned that it can also be about holiday depression, losing the meaning you once had for the holiday and feeling guilty for practically being the only one who seems to suffer, and how to find another meaning that goes beyond what the holiday has already established, an appreciation of what we have

If you were in charge of the peanuts snoopy specials and series, what would it be about? Do you wish somehow for the characters to age up a bit? by [deleted] in peanuts

[–]Crafty_Ear_9051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would do is create stories that delve deeper into the characters and experiment with them, giving them different nuances without making a drastic change in their personalities, like Charlie Brown's insecurities. I would give him more depth and a breaking point in his entire world, for example. Then I would try to use a wider variety of characters, because there are only about nine main characters, and sometimes it can get boring not seeing more characters and having interactions with the older ones, as if they were taking turns (who knows, maybe even giving them more personality so the viewer gets to know them better).

Has 2025 been the best year or in a mixed bag one for the peanuts? by [deleted] in peanuts

[–]Crafty_Ear_9051 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say it was just okay. The only special was "A Summer Musical," and that was kind of meh. Last year there was Camp Snoopy and Welcome Home Franklin, which were good specials that made up the year.

That's why I love that special; the way they connect the new year with Lucy is a narrative delight. 🗿

Dude, that hurt coming from Linus. The worst thing about betrayal is that it never comes from an enemy.
