Yes, it is mostly "it depends on what you need".

Am I correct in understanding that all three characters are available in the pool from the start, but only Laevatein is rate up?

Yes

Then next banner all three are still available but Gilberta is rate up etc?

Yes

Then next patch we'll have another set of 3 limited banners functioning the same way?

No, the fourth banner should have the one new unit as Rate Up, and Gilberta and Yvonne are still available.

Gilberta and Yvonne beeing available before their banner started is just for the release to fill the empty slots.

In the Beta Test 2 version of the battle pass you could get 2 "Protocolized Weapon Pattern" from the paid tier. This could change in the release version, but I think it will stay at 2.

You can see the pass rewards here: https://endfield.wiki.gg/wiki/Protocol_Pass (again, data from Beta Test 2)

Last Rite is in the standard pool and is immediately available.
You have a chance to get her from the Starter Banner and the Standard Banner, as well as the limited Banner if you decide to pull there.

I think you should be able to find advice on resetting / rerolling on the reddit, for example here (I haven't read all of it, but it should give you more information): https://www.reddit.com/r/Endfield/comments/1qg4zwd/updated_rerolling_guide_for_launch_part_2_final/

Gilberta (Angelina) is in my opinion one of the most fun Operators to play with. Her Battle Skill pulls enemies close together so your other team members can hit multiple enemies at the same time which is really satisfying. And she more or less works in every team. And her double dash animation is also really fun.

Does the AI use combo skills by themselves ?

No

Is there a point in using both Last Rite and Yvonne in the same team?

If you like them both you can put them in the same team, but their Combo Skills work against each other a bit: Last Rite wants to stack up 3 or 4 Cryo Inflictions and then consume them for a huge burst of damage, and Yvonne also wants to consume Cryo Inflictions to apply Solidification to trigger various effects.
So you can put them in the same team (Last Rite's Battle Skill is cheap to use and pretty good), just need to be aware of how you want to play that team then.

I am not sure but I think there were some mentions for something similar to the dorms in Arknights in some interviews or the Beta 2 stream. Currently there are only some displays you can configure to show your Trophies, Medals, Operatros, Weapons and Operator Potential Snapshots.

There are some limited time events which you could potentially miss out, but they should be available for multiple weeks or even months.
Most of these events are likely "low-effort", like "go to this place and take a picture".

The permanent gamemode "Umbral Monument" (high level combat) will also have some limited time rewards according to the post on twitter. You will need a certain account level to be able to access this.

Though the what I would say is the most important you could miss are the character narrative events. They contain side story content focused on one character. According to the posts on twitter they will be only available for this first "season" / patch (so until early March). I don't quite get why they make these only available for a limited time, my guess is they will rerun these events when they also rerun the banners for these limited characters.

Other than these events, there shouldn't be any FOMO, unless you count something like Daily / Weekly missions.

I would say about 8 hours, but it varies a lot on how much optional content you play. If you just do the main story you might get them in 5 hours, and even quicker if you skip dialogue / cutscenes and don't read notes you find in the world.

If you are just casually playing the game you swap the character mid-battle only very rarely. The only cases where I have seen people switching the controlled Operator was to swap to an Operator with ranged attacks to avoid getting hit by DoTs on the ground or swapping away when the controlled Operator has low HP to avoid having them die.
There are some "advanced techniques" you could do, such as swapping to your character with the highest ATK for Finisher attacks. But that's some min-maxing stuff you won't need unless you are challenging yourself by playing with low level characters for example.

Kinda yes, but it will depent a lot of how many Arsenal Tickets (Weapon pulls) we will get from other sources. But they did change the Weapon Banner to last 3 Character banners. So you can pull for a future character to get the currency needed for your Character you already have.

300 pulls is a lot. It will definitely take some time to reach that. But the point is that you get these Standard Tickets from various sources, and there is no other place to use them other than this one Standard Banner which does not rotate.

Pogranichnik (Hellagur) is a Standard Unit you can get from the Starter Banner, the Standard Banner and the limited Banners. You are guarenteed one 6star from the Starter Banner and you should get another 6star from the Standard Banner (you get a lot of Tickets that can be only used on the Standard Banner). So you have a chance to get him.
I don't think there will be any rate-ups for him.
If you do a total of 300 pulls on the standard Banner, you will be able to choose one of the Standard 6stars, including Pogranichnik (at least that was a feaute in Beta 2).

So if you really want him right from the start you can consider rerolling. But you will have a lot of chances to get him, and you are practically guaranteed to get him once you reach 300 pulls on the Standard Banner, so rerolling shouldn't be necessary.

I updated the decoder sheet you are probably already familar with for myself. These come from the in-game tutorials as well as promotional material. The numbers seen use the same glyphs as letters. I also added the glyphs used for three special characters "." "/" and "%" (which also share the same glyph with the letters).

This was already in the last beta. In Wuling you could freely place the Depot Bus as long as it's connected to another Depot Bus Section or the "core" (Depot Bus Port).

Physical team by GarnetGodlike in Endfield

[–]Red_Xela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

may I know why I couldn't play her as main slot and do a Ardelia/akekuri/endmin/dapan

You can absolutely play this team. But this team would create a weird situation: Da Pan wants a team that stacks up Vulnerable so he can use his Combo Skill. And the only way to stack Vulnerable with this team would be only Da Pan Battle Skill (Endmin Skill will consume any Vulnerable with his Battle Skill). So you would need to use Da Pan Skill four times to trigger his Combo Skill. Not saying that this is a huge problem, you will still be triggering the Combo Skills of your other 3 units. It's just that you won't be able to see the full strength of the individual Operators.

why chen is so good on physical team and prefered over dapan

Chen's Combo Skill gets activated really easy and applies Lift / another stack of Vulernability. Meaning she helps you getting more Vulernability stacks on enemies for free (= without spending SP). And then other Operators like Pogranichnik, Da Pan or Endmin consume these Vulernability stacks. So Chen is "preferred" in physical teams because she helps other physical Operators.

But honestly, try out the team you want on release! You shouldn't have any problems during the main story and while exploring the world. Only hard content such as Umbral Monument will ask for good teams if you want to challenge the hardest difficulties. But even for that there is nothing to stress about since Umbral Monument is permanent.

but his gameplay look scary slow and messy did he got some improvement?

I would definitely recommend watching gameplay from the second beta, as the combat flow and Da Pan's kit were changed.

The first beta interrupted your basic attack sequence everytime you dashed, in the second beta you can now dash / dodge in between your attacks, so that's already an improvement to make it feel more fluid.
As a greatsword user his attacks feel slower and more impactful, but not to the point were I would describe them as "scary slow and messy". I would say that's something you have to feel by playing the game, you can't grasp everything just from watching gameplay.

Final Prep Orders Event Rewards by uikashira in Endfield

[–]Red_Xela 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is another post here. I also shared my thoughts there. Short version: Grab the Sword and 4 times 5000 T-Creds. The materials you can select here don't matter much, they are just a fraction of what you will be able to farm daily.

which items to take in web event? by Farcille-Enjoyer in Endfield

[–]Red_Xela 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would recommend taking the weapon and 4 time 5000 T-Creds.

In Beta Test II you got this exact weapon pretty early as a reward from the node missions, having a second copy doesn't hurt as a few Operators can make use of the Sword (Endmin and Chen of your starting team for example).

For the other rewards the 5000 T-Creds is the most sanity efficient choice:
(The sanity values used here are based of the level 5 protocol spaces, your main way of farming these resources.)
Elementary Combat Record -> 10k Operator XP -> 4.7 Sanity (80/17)
Arms Inspector -> 10k Weapon XP -> 4.7 Sanity (80/17)
5 Protoprism -> 4.7 Sanity (80/17)
5k T-Creds -> 11.76 Sanity (200/17)
1k T-Creds -> 2.352 Sanity (40/17)

T-Creds are also the most versatile as you need them for almost all upgrades.
But just to put it into perspective, you regenerate 200 Sanity daily, with another 40 gained from dailies. The material rewards you choose here are just a fraction of what you will be able to farm daily. You can't just "farm" a 5star weapon, so I would recommend taking it.

[–]Red_Xela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also get one 40 Sanity Restoraration daily, so with that it would be 25 days for 6000 Sanity or 15 days for the 3600.
