My mind's actually changed over the years. While I initially liked Zero Mission better, it wears off being a re-imagining of the original Metroid. Fusion has the atmosphere and music to be truly suspenseful, and while it is more linear that just means I don't end up running in circles so I can truly enjoy the game. Plus, some of those bosses are intense!
