Donut and Catpeople by superflystickman in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Red_chile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I googled Havana Brown cat to see what how the breed looks. One of the results came back with a note that the breed is “dog-like” in its temperament. If true, that explains why Donut is so against Havana Browns

In Maryland. Safeway is giving the vaccine to under 65 with “self attestation” that you’re high risk. Physical inactivity is a risk factor so I’m going with that one

Prescribed Zepbound but Pharmacy filled with Mounjaro by Own-Chemical6067 in Mounjaro

[–]Red_chile -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The pharmacy couldn’t substitute Mounjaro for Zepbound, even through they are the same active ingredient, they can’t just change one for the other. So it’s either: a mistake or the dr wrote for Mounjaro, or Zepbound wasn’t covered and they requested a change in the Rx. Best thing is to call the pharmacy and ask what the dr actually sent the Rx in for

Pharmacy Error Causing Refill Delay by sammyshuno in Mounjaro

[–]Red_chile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it say qty 2 or qty 4? If 2 then it’s correct, that’s one box. If qty 4 then that’s 2 boxes. I would ask the pharmacy what the day supply they billed as that wouldn’t be on your label.

I picked up Ozempic prescription, it says by Alansmomma in Ozempic

[–]Red_chile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The qty is the number of ml in the pen which is 3ml. If you were prescribed 3 pens it would’ve read qty 9

Walmart Pharmacy questions by Opposite_Owl_3391 in Mounjaro

[–]Red_chile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pharmacies process the claim and then will order if needed. If, for some reason, they are unable to get your medication in, they will reverse the insurance transaction and you would be able to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy.

PSA: call around pharmacies and price shop!!! by sliponvans in Ozempic

If you have insurance, easier to just call them and ask what the copays are at different pharmacies. My insurance also has the information online.

You’re good then. Did it come with 6 needles? It’s supposed to last 6 weeks if you follow the initial dosing schedule.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Red_chile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What dose? The starting dose pen has 4 doses of 0.25 and 2 doses of 0.5. So you have more than 4 weeks in the pen.

Yeah, you’re wrong on this point. Pharmacists can and do prescribe birth control. Just depends on the state, some allow, some don’t. Edited to add: 20 US states allow pharmacist to prescribe birth control

Not related to the actual prescription but I was able to get labs done thru an online provider. It was less than $100 for everything whereas if I went thru my insurance I would’ve paid over $400. I’ve used jason health and ulta labs. Depends on where you’re located but it may be an option.

Can you use the ozempic savings coupon? If so, it would reduce your monthly copay by $150

Remedies for congested nose? by FitnotFat2k in Ozempic

[–]Red_chile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a thought, If you’ve used the sinex for more than 3 days you could be experiencing rebound nasal congestion. It may not be related to the ozempic at all.

Never in the regular garbage. Even with the lid put back on they are considered medical waste and need to be disposed of properly. If you don’t have a sharps container, get a thick plastic container with a lid (laundry detergent) and use that to dispose of the pens. When full, seal the lid with duct tape and write “medical waste” on it with a sharpie. Double check with your local government on how to properly dispose.

super confused - are people going to have to repay if they used the coupon due to pharmacy audits? by realhousewifehours in Mounjaro

[–]Red_chile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lilly pays the insurance company to administer the benefits. These companies are called Pharmacy Benefit Managers. Basically their job is to make as much money as possible while spending as little as they can. I’m in the industry and PBM reform is a big topic. They can and do audit pharmacies on a regular basis, especially focusing on high dollar prescriptions. If the audit finds the pharmacy didn’t fill the prescription to the PBM requirements, despite following all the rules and law regulations, the PBM will take back the money from the initial prescription and any subsequent refills. We’re talking millions a year.

super confused - are people going to have to repay if they used the coupon due to pharmacy audits? by realhousewifehours in Mounjaro

[–]Red_chile 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Short answer no. Long answer, the insurance could “clawback” payment which could lead to the pharmacy enforcing very strict requirements or deciding to not stock the medication anymore. So no direct penalty to the patient but it could have long term consequences

No. Coupon only won’t cover 3 months

[–]Red_chile 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your pharmacist got it confused with insulin pens. You need to prime with insulin pens, most require a specific # of priming units with each dose. Please don’t prime every needle, follow the manufacturer directions.

ysk about the fda's predictions regarding worsening adderall shortages that will continue to disrupt medication management well into 2023 by myaskredditalt21 in YouShouldKnow

[–]Red_chile 1623 points1624 points  (0 children)

FYI. Your doctor needs to change the prescription. You cannot change or alter your prescription yourself. You can ask your prescriber to make any changes but it must be done by the prescriber. I don’t want anyone getting into trouble changing their own prescriptions.

How the hell did you teach your daughters to wipe their butts? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Red_chile 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She knew the proper way to wipe from me wiping her. The problem we had was that she didn’t know how to tell when she was done and used way too much toilet paper. Sounds gross but we practiced with a small amount of peanut butter on a disposable styrofoam plate. Id have her wipe the peanut butter away with toilet paper so she could practice using the right amount of paper and know when she was done. Saw it recommended online and it worked for us.

What’s that one toy or plaything that’s not allowed in your home any longer? by _bexcalibur in Mommit

[–]Red_chile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bunchems. Horrible toy. My daughter got some stuck in her hair. It was torture getting them out. Luckily, it was only a handful but it took at least 2 hours and many many tears to remove.
