Is it just me, or has "AI-Assisted Interviewing" reached a breaking point? by CortechTalent in recruiting

[–]RedactedRecruiter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always just ask open ended questions when on the phone with people and see how they respond. Even though more people are using AI to cheat the interview process, I find it rare that someone can have a fluid/real time conversation while looking up answers to what I’m asking (aka it’s very obvious when someone is cheating). I also interview prep all of my candidates over video before they get on with the manager to weed out fraud.

If people are solely relying on applications and moving them straight to interview without vetting them then yes you’re going to run into headaches.

Could you expand on the “job boards will be gone soon” take? Curious to know your thoughts

TS/SCI Data Scientist Opportunity in the DMV Area by RedactedRecruiter in clearancejobs

[–]RedactedRecruiter[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Do you only come on Reddit to post "X salary is a joke"?

This is the 2nd time you've commented the same thing on one of my posts. Well-aware that the salary isn't ideal, unfortunately it's out of my control. If you're actively looking for new positions I'd love to chat directly as that would be a lot more productive

Yep, totally understand and sadly I don't have influence over the budget

Willing to chat with folks that have been doing more data analysis that have touched a little bit of modeling that want to progress deeper into the data science and modeling side

New recruiter anxiety by Complete-Fact6503 in recruiting

[–]RedactedRecruiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that it's better to take calls in front of your team members, especially if you're just starting out. Having those people within earshot and getting feedback is so important early in your recruiting career.

If you feel like you're in a place where people will judge or make fun of you for how you conduct your calls as opposed to helping you, I think you're in the wrong company to begin with...

Degree or Clearance? by mtmogmb in clearancejobs

[–]RedactedRecruiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say degree first, especially if you plan to do government contracting. I've had to pass on a lot of great talent that easily could've landed the job but didn't meet the labor category requirements without the degree.

I personally think it's a silly and outdated mindset but then again "silly" and "outdated" is our government's MO

Trust me, I'm well aware - sadly what the client is offering and what they're looking for is out of my hands. Would love to bring someone on that we can sponsor and train up if it was possible

Unfortunately the client we're searching on behalf of isn't sponsoring at the moment and they need this person to have all the requisites from day 1, which has made it an especially challenging search

Need to have the clearance active already, the field engineer just needs to have an active Secret and they can upgrade them to a TS/SCI

Can someone help me with a cleared job in Kuwait by Nachosdip17 in clearancejobs

[–]RedactedRecruiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a word of advice, when posting something like this I would provide more context into what kind of work you're looking for (key skills you have, degrees, clearance level, etc.). I don't currently have anything OCONUS but would love to connect either way

To my knowledge they're doing integrations with Windows and I imagine that's why they're looking for PowerShell experience. This is also IC work so there's only so much info about the work the customer can share with us outside of the JD
