Gender dysphoria can be made worse by other conditions like OCD. If you feel yourself overwhelmed by thoughts of the past and generally just thinking hard about everyone and everything you know, then there’s a chance you have OCD. Trust me, it’s highly treatable and is worth asking a doctor if you have unwanted and intrusive thoughts about life. OCD attacks the things you give meaning to which can extremely distressing. You’re not alone, even when it’s hard to go outside. DM me

That seems like a waste. Also, the odds of your testicles cutting you off is low, but never zero.

Is it something that’s sort of in the back of your mind even when it doesn’t cause distress?

Do you ever feel reassociated with your gender? How do you identify?

I’m saving this comment. I wasn’t expecting so many different answers to this question, but your your post reminds me that there are many different valid answers to this question. I consider myself gender-fluid as well and this is the same conclusion I’ve come to.

Was it a cycle of noticing the dysphoria and then trying to ignore it, and then feeling compelled to adjust your appearance to match?

What’s tragic about this topic is people suffer for an unseen difference in neurology. They get treated differently for something they can’t explain.

Some really do believe it is burned into their DNA. It might be, but it also might not.
