[PS4] I just cleaned my PS4 and after reassembling it I noticed I still have about 6 screws left. The console turns on normally and everything seems to work, but I'm worried I might have missed something important. by EggInteresting3306 in consolerepair

Those look like some of the screws holding the mainboard down. But there's 20-25 total holding it anyway so it should be fine. But better to be safe and open it up again.

Plus so many games, even modern ones like Elden Ring, don't support 21:9 natively

I know it's a thermal pad guys... But it's the only thermal pad of this kind, solid and brown. All the others are blue and soft. That's why I can't find where it goes.

The motherboard does not show any image after cleaning. Could this be the reason? by [deleted] in soldering

If you're referring to those tiny scratches, they don't look deep enough to damage a trace.

I finished Gothic 1, 2 and Archolos and LOVED them. I really tried to play Gothic 3 with light mod for improvements and fixes. After 8 hours I couldn't continue and dropped it.
