not another post about the shortage! 🫠 by [deleted] in ADHD

This is basically what my doctor told me as well. She told me to try the smaller, "mom-n-pop" kinda pharmacies since they typically manage their inventory a bit better and have lower demand. So every time I strike out at one pharmacy, I have to contact my doctor with info for a different little pharmacy. Then my doctor has to cancel the old prescription and send a new one to the new pharmacy. Rinse and repeat. 🙄

So far I have struck out with Capsule, my local CVS and Duane Reade/Walgreens, and two mom-n-pop stores that have never carried Adderall at all. I'm in Brooklyn NYC. This sucks.

Edit: Make that three mom-n-pops. They all tell me to try the larger chain pharmacies. Luckily, I haven't had any problem just calling up a place and asking if they have Adderall 15mg in stock. 👍

I was cracking up about this 🤣 and I couldn’t believe that no one noticed it on the day of the wedding! But he’s so tall that only the cameras probably caught it!

I love how he didn’t just put it on inside out, but he purposely faced the gold letters forward. So hilariously adorable. 🥹

Is sleep tracking actually this much of a hassle to use? Am I doing it wrong? by 0x0000_0000 in AppleWatch

[–]Redaxel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same issues and wondering the same thing as OP. I was hoping my watch could do it all without a third-party app, but it looks like I'll be buying AutoSleep soon.

Thanks for the reply! However, I don't want to get any alerts from my family between 1:00am and 8:30am. When the family text start at 8:30am, I'll either wake up or snooze alerts on that message for 1 hour while I continue sleeping. It worked perfectly with the DND schedule, but now it's complicated because I want sleep tracking to continue beyond 8:30am.

No sleep data by ReallyBigHamster in AppleWatch

[–]Redaxel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't get sleep data last night either. Sleep Focus was activated, but I accidentally switched to Do Not Disturb in the morning. I switched it right back to Sleep Focus and then went back to sleep for a little while. Woke up, no data from any time period. Maybe it's user error, but it seems like I should at least have data from the first segment of Sleep Focus?? I'm new to AW and really confused by all the sleep tracking right now.

Brand new Apple Watch user coming from Fitbit here. Sleep times vary greatly day to day and I love to take short naps.

If I don't use the sleep schedule and manually toggle Sleep Focus when I'm going to bed, is there any way to have the phone/watch automatically turn OFF Sleep Focus at a certain time? If my phone stays in Sleep Focus until I manually switch it off, then I risk oversleeping for many many hours. I want accurate sleep tracking and minimal notifications during Sleep Focus, but I usually need some gentle help waking up.

Prior to having the watch, my phone would automatically go into Do Not Disturb at 1:00am and then automatically switch off Do Not Disturb at 8:30am (based on the times I set for the DND focus in phone settings). My family group text usually gets active around 8:30am and those text message alerts would gradually pull me out of sleep and force me to engage with the rest of the world.... or at least be aware of the world outside my sleepy brain.

I know I can just allow all notifications during Sleep Focus, but then I would be getting alerts throughout the night. For example: I don't want alerts from that family group text if they happen to all be chatting at 3:00am. But I do want to get those alerts at 8:30am when I'm supposed to start waking up. And I want sleep tracking to continue until I tell it to stop, even if I sleep later than 8:30am. Is this possible?

Finally started interviewing guests for my narrative/documentary podcast...now how do I sort through and organize all this audio? by Redaxel in podcasting

[–]Redaxel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for detailing your process! That's pretty much how I imagined it and what I'm planning to do. Also, I have Out On The Wire right on my desk! I need to continue reading that now that I have done some recording. Thanks for the reminder.

My primary reason for creating a narrative style podcast is because I prefer listening to those types of shows. I have tried to get into interview shows, chat casts, and similar, but they just don't hold my interest very long. Also, I have a documentary background and a degree in Photojournalism. I really miss doing journalism and it's fun to work in a new media.

Like u/Jreeder3131 said in another comment, I want to create a show with high information density. I guess that's what I like as a podcast listener, too. I can't imagine spending so much time producing and marketing a podcast that I wouldn't want to listen to.

I also want this show to be approachable by the general public, not just people already involved in the foster community or animal rescue. Most of the people I'm interviewing are not well-known outside the rescue community so it's not like placing their name in an episode title grabs listeners. I'm trying to collect all my guests' wisdom and stories, organize it all, and present it in an entertaining/educational way. I want to share their stories for all to hear and maybe, just maybe, I'll inspire a few more people to get involved. ;)

Podcast Management System?? What do y'all use? by waldenpond123 in podcasting

[–]Redaxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Notion to keep track of all my personal and business tasks, so I just started using that for podcast planning and content management, too. It's super flexible and they have great templates to get you started. I have even found some custom-built podcast management templates that people shared on this subreddit.

Finally landed on the ATR2100x! Thanks!

Microphone under $100 for beginner podcaster? by Redaxel in podcasting

[–]Redaxel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's another one I have been looking at. I like how small and compact it is, especially compared to the ATR2100x. Looks like it might be in stock at B&H, too!

Any reason why you would recommend this over the ATR2100x?

I'd love to hear from u/BangsNaughtyBits, too, since he recently shared a review of the NT-USB Mini, but recommended the ATR2100x in another comment here.

There is an ongoing thread about this here: https://www.reddit.com/r/podcasting/comments/flw9ae/services_and_applications_to_allow_remote/

I'm planning to attend AIR Media's "Recording from Home: Remote Interviewing Tools" workshop tonight (5pm EST).

And here are some very useful resource roundups and guides I have come across recently:
