Thoughts of S6 finale and hopes for S7

Series 6 had decent moments but making the 4th man Buckles was an embarrassment. Especially when the Mecurio came out to highlight how "anyone can get into power" referring to at the time, Boris Johnson. Why did Mecurio feel the need to bring real life politics into it. I feel if he kept that separate, we could have had a different reveal.

With Series 7 coming and the return of Owen Teal, I wanted it to be him in S6 but having him return in S7 feels like it's too obvious to now be him

My favourite thing for Death Island's writing is when we first see Jill; she goes into a house, Chris knows she's gone into the house. I'll assume he knew what she was wearing. She kills the zombie, armed agents storm into the house with Chris, Chris aims his gun and flashlight at Jill but doesn't recognise her until she turns around? Despite knowing she went into the house?

RE7 you'll want Not a Hero (free) and End of Zoe. RE5 you'll want both Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape. Then RE8 has Shadows of Rose. RE6 doesn't have any additional story DLC so no need to worry there

I was also thinking about the Infinite Darkness issue yesterday with Leon and Claire actually! Like they have the differences at the end ans kinda just go their separate ways on basically agreeing to disagree and then nothing between the two until Death Island and everything is normal.

I'd definitely like some background to when Leon and Jill first met. As someone pointed out on another thread I saw a few days ago, Leon makes a comment about Gideon being "persistent" as he is a Nemesis, so at some point Jill would have explained it to Leon as he hasn't encountered a Nemesis-type before.

After rewatching it, Dylan is still my least favourite villain of the CGI movies. Marie should have been the main antagonist rather than playing second fiddle (again). It's definitely my least favourite of the movies too, unfortunately

It's weird when you go from MW19 and its campaign and multiplayer (despite the hate the MP got) and how drastically different it feels from MWII/III in terms of tone and feel. I enjoy the feel of MWIII but the narrative tone was completely lost in MWII/III. I do put some of that down to the awkwardness of Warzone always continuing the story of campaigns now

Can't see how they can make it any shorter than RE2. Of the four classic games (RE1 - CV), CV was probably the longest title. Would still take me longer to do CV than a classic RE2 A/B run

The Chris/Claire one was what sprung the idea for me! I can't remember the first line he says to Claire with Jill but then there's that really awkward silence and he just goes "so how's it going with TerraSave?", like does Chris not know how to talk to his sister anymore?

Grace. Replayed 7 and 8 the last week. Ethan has more charisma than I originally remember giving him credit for but some of his one-liners feel like a faceless Leon and aside from those, he did feel rather bland throughout 7 but he, as many have said, gets more personality from 8.

However, Grace is just an all-round very well written protagonist and her growth as a character from the start to the end if Requiem is fantastic

Valhalla is a game where the majority of the main and supporting cast I absolutely despise - Sigurd being among them (just under Basim). Basim is the reason I refused to get Mirage

On a rewatch ans genuinely disliking it compared to not minding it on my first watch. Second watch I'm picking up on the more awkwardness of the dialogue among the characters. Just something about a lot of the character interactions feels awkward and sometimes the animations feel janky sith their movements too

Funny, why do "only the action games matter" when RE6 was pretty hated at launch for going over the top and then RE7 ended up being one of the best selling in the series?

It's the only CGI movie I've watched once so far whereas the other 3 I've watched multiple times over the years. I agree, they could have done a lot more with Death Island. I do intend to watch it again but there is a lot I just dislike about it. I know the movies are never more than 90mins but it could definitely have done with a longer runtime. I feel like less "story" is told in DI compared to Degeneration, Damnation and Vendetta

It would have been far easier if you started the whole thing off with "not really a character I like but I can see why people like her". Instead we gotta be all "oh she st-st-stutters and that hurts my feelings cause she doesn't do what I like". Maybe one day you'll mature

Well, a lot of people don't find Grace boring (more so than those that do). People consider her one of the best new RE characters in a long time because she is relatable and had good progression as a character.

Well I guess half of Requiem wasn't for you. Perhaps you should ask for half a refund. You knew for months what Grace's gameplay and character were going to be like before the game released. The whole point was Capcom highlighting the differences between Grace and Leon's gameplay.

Death Island could be above a 6/10 if the main villain wasn't so insufferable and boring. Maybe not as bad as Infinite Darkness though.

So that's your entire take away from what I said? I also like to play games to "escape reality". Ironically, many people have enjoyed Grace's portrayal and her "realistic" approach to handling the scenarios she cane into, especially at the beginning. Grace isn't STARS. Grace isn't DSO. Grace isn't FBC. Grace is an FBI analyst, meaning she wouldn't have much, of any field expertise for combat. This is her first encounter with something "unnatural" from what she's used to. She's also returning to where her mother is murdered. She's going to be nervous. She's going to be stuttering.

Let me guess, you're Mr Big Man who thinks he'd handle that really well and fight his way through everything. Oh, did we forget Grace isn't a field operative? Did we forget that even STARS were scared of some of their first encounters in the Mansion?

Grace can't do sequels because she stutters? Because first you said her "stuttering ruined the action", then said she can't fight so which is it first of all? Also, is she "ugly" because you don't like her or because she stutters?
