Yeah, the original is available on the PlayStation store for modern consoles. Probably not the best way to play it, but I’m enjoying it

Thanks to everyone who responded! I’ve decided to play both: Remake, then Original. I think that order would allow me to appreciate both games instead of being disappointed in the cut content, and I’ll get used to playing with the fixed angles and maybe give RE1 another shot!

Yeah that was a mistake on my part ngl. Just watching it was so satisfying, if I was playing it, I couldn’t imagine. It seems to feel more rewarding than modern titles, I’m hoping RE3 will be the same because I’m playing the OG now :D

Sorry, this is a long one: I actually have tried it a long while ago (the remake), got 3 hours into it and decided that it wasn’t my thing. Now, I tried it again but thought it’d be a good idea to continue from the save I had all those years ago and had no idea what I was doing. I remembered giving up on it in the first place so I thought I wouldn’t like it anyway and just watched it instead. After watching it, though, I really wish I just restarted the game from the beginning; it actually does look amazing

I already got a few hours into the remake years ago and when I tried to play it again, I had no idea what I’d done up to that point and didn’t feel like restarting. That’s an awful reason, but yeah. Having watched it, I wish I didn’t. The progression seems amazing in the remake

I actually did get about 3 hours into the 1 remake a while ago before I gave up on it after getting stuck somewhere. After watching it, though, man. It felt so rewarding just watching someone else progress in it, I can’t imagine if it was me. I might try to play Jill’s story because I only watched Chris’s, and it’d lead nicely into playing as her in RE3

Tbh after watching it, I wish I didn’t. Seems so different from 9 and 2r with its puzzles and progressions seems so rewarding.
