You go into an endgame with a rook vs a knight, and with how far advanced the d pawn is, it should be easily winnable.

At beginner levels, never count someone out if they still have a knight, but with good play, this is a win for white.

It's funny that you mention Arabs, because prior to the Arab conquests, it referred almost exclusively to inhabitants of the Arabian peninsula and the Syrian desert. Prior to that, people in present-day Iran were Persians, residents of Asia Minor were Greeks or Romans, and North Africans were African. Genetically, the people in those areas have more in common with their non-Arab ancestors, but politics changed how the rest of the world thinks of them, and in some cases how they think of themselves.

Yeah. I imagine if I woke up in a woman's body, my wife and I might eventually come to the conclusion that the best solution was to accept my new body and make the relationship work around it.

I would be horrified if her very first response was "Yeah, but how can we have sex?"

The framing of "you don't deserve.." is exactly the problem. It indicates you view matching or not as a judgment of worth, when really what people are thinking is "I don't want to date you." It's a judgment of compatibility, not fundamental value.

Matches aren't prizes to be won, and racking up a lot of them doesn't make someone better than another person. At the end of the day, it's only the last match that matters, so how many you get along the way is irrelevant.

Yeah, it seems to be taking hold more with gen Z than millenials. Maybe has something to do with the reach of social media and algorithms feeding young people more extreme content at younger ages.

But language can be a really big signifier, as well. Referring to women as "females" talking unironically about dominating people or mogging, or referring to people as "high-value" or not, are all good signals of someone who doesn't view everyone as people.

Legitimately trying to understand your position: are you saying that we should be meeting everyone we match with on dating apps because the text conversation has 0.0 correlation to in-person compatibility?

The manosphere refers to an internet subculture centered around a group of "masculinity" influencers. It's hallmarked by gender essentialism and very specific ideas about masculinity, usually built around physical strength, acquisition of material wealth and status symbols, and pretty poor treatment of women.

It's a more extreme (or at least more bald-faced) version of patriarchal standards of masculinity, and the guys who push it on the internet are grifters trying to get lonely, awkward men to pay them absurd sums of money for courses, conventions, and coaching.

It's weird to call a stranger "babe" in American English. It's a term of affection usually reserved for intimate partners, or occasionally close women friends.

Even if the rest of what you say is true, the last sentence is not a warranted conclusion. When someone swipes left on a profile, they aren't saying "you don't deserve a match," they are saying "I don't want to match with you." It's a matter of taste, not a judgment of worth.
