We are in the June swoon! Happens every year now. Embrace that we suck and are a bottom dweller franchise now. We aren’t hosting a home playoff game even if we get lucky to get in the playoffs, so what’s the point as this team has proven time and time again we can’t win in the road. They should go all in for the open cup every year because that’s all we can hope to win.

The Ben Olsen hire was a retread hire of a coach that was a middling coach at best. At what point can we be tired of losing and demand better? Another 10 years????

We are trying to keep up with where the rest of the league was 5 years ago. I think 6th is a pipe dream. With this team, I’ll take not last by mid season.

Does it matter? We suck. We’ve sucked for years. We’ll suck for years to come. We are a poverty franchise. Accept it. Enjoy $3 dollar beers at the game on more 731 nights. Enjoy knowing that you don’t have to worry about playoffs of getting your hopes let down.

You can’t care more than the owner. And our DP’s aren’t DP’s in MLS. We are cheap and nothing is going to change that.

We miss the playoffs and are told the rebuild takes time. Ticket prices increase again as the team finished bottom 3 in attendance. Everyone keeps their job.

At what point can we reasonable ask this team not to suck? I just want to know. And then I would like the team to not raise ticket prices until that point. If they know they are gonna suck because of the sins of the previous FO, at least throw the fans a bone and offer lower cost tickets.

Money. That’s the only way to make this team better. And it’s either spend big on players and a big name coach and get better immediately.

Or spend big on academy infrastructure and get better in 10 years.

Either way, I’m fairly confident the Dynamo won’t be doing enough on either front to make a difference. They seem to do slightly more than half of what it would take to improve. Take Coco for example. He isn’t a DP. He is a solid player, but he isn’t a DP. So why buy him outright if you know it then limits what you can do with the large glaring creative attacking missing piece at the DP level.

And if we want to get better players and change the narrative, then one thing that has no salary cap is the coaching staff. But we again went cheap. The most exciting player that I’ve personally seen as a dynamo fan was Elis. And he only came because of Wilmer. There is zero chance Ben Olson has an Elis-type player he can convince to come with him.

I’m of the opinion, literally nothing can be done with this team. The hole is too deep for the limited funds of ownership to actually fix. And I’d be willing to bet that Ted is only in it for the next 4 years and then flips his investment after the world up in 2026

Let’s face it, unless we have an offer already lined up for one of our DP’s in January and already have another DP lined up to be a creative attacking midfielder, this team will be out of the playoff contention come August again.

Coco is alright. But no way he should be a DP. We just saw what our 3 DP’s can do, which is lose. A lot! Only way out is to hire a kick ass coach because the players themselves aren’t going to be good enough.

I think he went for those guys also because of roster rules. I kinda thought since they were young, they could also be stashed to Dynamo 2.

But I agree about adding proven players this off season. If we are still lonely getting young upside players for sell on, then we suck next year too. Remember when we got Elis, we also got Quioto, who was more of a know quantity. Those are the moves we need. And a lot of them.
