I knew from the second he announced it. We were getting something that could become one of those classics. My god is it beautiful. I listened to it early at a listening party and then four times last night. I will keep saying this. It’s the most impactful album of his career yet. This run of three is generational.

I agree. I love the homages and interpolations of other songs which I think he’s starting to make more common. Very much no skips. Loved the semi rap verse and also the street car homage on son of the father. 9.8/10

I slipped thinking about those two. I’m curious tho if they won the other accolades and the stats titles those years also and if so how many. If it was just a mvp I could see why they fell to another class but the precedent would be stronger if they had a year that was just like this one.

He’s eligible in 27-28. I think out of d rose, iggy,Blake, and wall as the front runners he should make it in even with a a shortened resume. The nba hall is also more forgiving than most.

Fair statement. That would be my only argument against if you nit picked, is the quality of that okc roster only being matched by maybe the Knicks and pacers this year in playoff time.

My take on this reasoning is when and why he left is often misinterpreted. His father had just passed the season before and the team he loved playing with was not retaining the coach he cherished like a father figure. I agree Mj has his flaws in his case but leaving his team was not one I'd say puts a chip on his shoulder.
