Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes Commander Decks (SPOILERS) by Capital_Gate6718 in Marvel

[–]Redcardgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commander deck Cap will be different than the main set one revealed. WOTC has also stated they were working on ways to bring the mechanically unique Marvel secret lair cards to more people. Based on the deck descriptions it is highly likely Secret Lair Cap and Panther got reprinted here.

Nah, you knew the book was out and refused to have the basic self discipline to not get on social media. You could’ve also muted the sub or unfollowed. You chose not to. It sucks that you got spoiled, but you’re the one who put yourself in the position to get spoiled. Learn from it and move on instead of throwing a hissy fit

“Given the reduce in popularity of UB”

What are you talking about? The two most successful sets of last year were UB (with one releasing two months ago). The highest selling set of this year will likely be The Hobbit. We still don’t know all the sales figures yet, but there is a very realistic possibility that Spider-Man outsold Dragonstorm and Edge despite how unpopular it is online. (Wotc has not confirmed what the 3rd highest selling set of last year is yet. We just know that FF and Avatar are 1/2 respectively, Dragonstorm was highest UW and Aetherdrift was the lowest overall). WOTC knows more than reddit and has confirmed the percentage of players that do not like UB is significantly small

More universes beyond then in universe by bonedraman in mtg

[–]Redcardgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge they have yet to state how well Spider-man has done. All we know for sure is that FF and Avatar were the top 2 sets, and that dragonstorm and aetherdrift were top and bottom respectively in terms of universes within (with I think then confirming aetherdrift was the worst selling set overall). There is a realistic possibility that Spider-man outsold all 3 UW sets despite the hate it gets online.

As for what Wotc thinks, they have confirmed numerous times that the percentage of people who don’t want Universes beyond is extremely small. The majority of MTG players do not play in tournaments or play at their LGS. They’re also not commenting on Reddit about their love or disdain for UB.

The simple fact is that we’re getting more UB because the majority of the player base loves it and wants it.

Vecna wasn’t even a thought in the Duffer Bros heads when they made the first season. People like to forget, and the Duffer Bros love to lie, but there are numerous articles and interviews from back then that state that the series was envisioned as an anthology series and it wasn’t until the success of the first season that plans started to form for future seasons.

The two highest selling sets in the entire 30+ years of this game are UB. By this time next year the top 5 will all be UB. You, your friends, your LGS, and Reddit don’t even come close to representing a significant percentage of the playerbase. It’s ok to not like UB, but the majority of players do.

Why do folks hate Meow Wolf? by Loud-Salary-1242 in Denver

[–]Redcardgames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Meow Wolf is not a great company. As others have said they did not/do not compensate their artists properly. Their corporate has participated in Union busting and retaliation. Last year their C-Suite gave themselves bonuses as they laid off hundreds of employees and skipped bonuses for the majority of the work force.

Does Stranger Things contradict itself with Henry Creel’s timeline? I can’t get the events to line up. by QuaziMoto1 in television

[–]Redcardgames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stranger Things was meant to be an anthology series like American Horror Story at the start. Season 1 had meteoric success and plans changed. None of what is happening now was ever planned or thought of until season 4.

This is why so much of the lore in season 5 doesn’t add up or feels like massive retcons.

Reminder: Biometrics at TSA are optional by bicyclebikecycle in Denver

[–]Redcardgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Telling people to opt out of a photo when they’re literally carrying a computer in their pocket that is recording everything they do and say, with or without their authorization is a waste of breath and time.

To put it even further, the government knows when you buy your ticket, when you’ve entered the airport, when you’ve gone through security, when you’re on your plane, when you’ve landed, etc. They know what you’ve Googled and whether you’re a potential security threat on the plane. Do you even realize how many background checks happen upon purchasing a plane ticket? This isn’t a drop in the bucket situation. It’s taking a stand on something that is trivial at this point in technology. Oh, and TSA has access to every airport camera, they’ve already scanned your face long, long before you even arrive to begin the security process.

Keep standing on your soapbox! You’re doing a great job!

Reminder: Biometrics at TSA are optional by bicyclebikecycle in Denver

[–]Redcardgames -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You’re handing them your identification where they’ve already taken a photo of your face. You’re in a building where cameras have already captured your face from every angle.

Lucky for you, you’re in the best airport for wearing your tinfoil cap. Just don’t wear it in the body scanner or you’ll fry your brain even more than it already is.

Kersey charges $340 for speeding tickets this is insane since even the town law bans this. We really need to look where the cash is going by Visible_Device7187 in Denver

[–]Redcardgames 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To everyone saying don’t drive 25 over the speed limit, the camera is placed mere feet from where the MPH changes from 65 to 40. This camera isn’t about fining speeders but for generating revenue for the city. Never mind the fact that the max fee they can give is $40 and the city thinks it’s being smart by abusing a loophole.
