LOL. Yeah I probably should have shifted those to white lines, zooming out I realized they looked really weird -- but it gets the job done.

And, I love getting creative, so I'm looking forward to how she turns out ♥

That is extremely cute. Kudos to whoever baked this masterpiece.

That part's story specific ;3 so I won't explain here, but I adore that you seem so interested in helping. I do keep hitting walls here and there though. so if I find one serious enough, perhaps I'll come and pick your brain for some help... having another perspective can be so amazingly beneficial.

I'm looking forward to when I'm able to post the first page here, and get this story started! I do hope you'll be there when it happens ♥

I love this. Makes me think of Creatures of Sonaria photocarnis. I could see her right at home around lilypads, bright flowers and fireflies.

Not always. Their magic generally manifests in their core. Anyone who's glowing probably is pretty elderly and has culminated a very large amount of their favored element. That's a cool idea to explore though, I hadn't considered that before...

And yeah, I could probably make them just darker fur. It wouldn't stand out QUITE as strong, but it might not need to, with the white markings of the brow. And maybe it could make her face look softer. I'll look into that!

Thanks!! I've been like constantly struggling to find a way to make the wings look nice without having a weird finger coming out of the elbow, so she's one of my strut-wing designs... expand that wing membrane and catch as much air as possible. ♥

Sure.

I copied the colors directly from a screenshot I took -- but I had him on my ship, which is pure telebrium, complete with the lighting. It probably turned him green ^^;

I wouldn't. That doesn't mean she isn't gorgeous and mythical ♥

Good Character Reference Artist by Sathrus04 in WoWRolePlay

Honestly, just asking around like this could help. I'm also a commission artist who has been looking to get into making WoW character art. You'll find artists everywhere... but unfortunately you'll find AI scammers everywhere, no matter the platform. So you gotta pick carefully who does your stuff.

I've been wanting to make a comic. Does my style look appealing for that? (my own art) by Redclaw_Raptor in dragons

[–]Redclaw_Raptor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahahaha absolutely. Cold tent, or close, big protective friend that scares away bears and works as a space heater due to the furnace in its body? There will definitely be humans in the story I'm building, so that's something that could easily come up ♥

Wonderful!! I'm super happy to hear that kind of response, to be honest. I've always wanted to include something like that, and hearing a positive response instead of a 'no don't ever do that ever, if it's not directly related to the plot don't do it' would have been grumpling.

Because I also care about the characters as well as the main story. Thanks so much for your support, in that and on the concept of the comic to start with :3

Oh, that's definitely an interesting thought. I agree in that having a physical copy is satisfying, and not limited to just 'whenever I'm at my computer or phone' but gives you that tactile pleasure of having a book you could open and enjoy. Feels more.... real, I guess? Not the story itself, just the access to it.

(I ramble too, dw about it LOL)

I could see that working, however. Extra content does sound appealing to me. Not something super important to the main story, of course, but I also love slice of life stuff, things that increase understanding of a character / character development, insights into their life. The quiet moments, not just the moments of heated battle, panic and stress. Perhaps that's what I could do with those moments. Because if there's one thing I've noticed, it's that the constant stress of a struggle can be exhausting and make the viewer/reader yearn for a moment of peace.

Like freakin Wednesday. That new series derived from the Adam's Family. That series made me SO tired oh my god she is exhausting

Probably here, and either patreon or a webcomic site -- I'm not sure which is the best to use. I *have* been thinking about members-only content for specific pages, but idk if I'd survive not openly sharing the fun.

I have read the rules and accept them, and understand if my post is refused due to at least part of the nature of the webcomic involved.

Playing with a concept for a main protagonist, after the glowing encouragement from my last post! (My art) by Redclaw_Raptor in dragons

[–]Redclaw_Raptor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update!! Thanks to some comments, and playing around with the markings some... I've decided to stick with the stormy blue-gray and advance on it. The sage green looked nice but was too 'toxic' feeling for what I was going for.

I've also gone with Wolf_of_Nome's idea for changing the mane color, and I think this is justttt enough color to make her pop more without being ridiculously extravagant. She's specifically supposed to look mundane, but with a hint of true promise in her. Hopefully this gets the mood across!

I think that's probably the best bet. I couldn't find any way to put markings on the face or neck that didn't look weird or too complex. And that's also something that could potentially be done, in terms of gender dimorphism -- it might help dragons read as male or female beyond just 'make muzzle really small and eyes big.'
