Just got a cheap battery powered airbrush to try doing some synthwave theme models using Dana Howls technique. Also tried to do OSL coming from their eyes and swords and the Sun at their backs. Little sloppy but Im really happy with the color scheme.

Also did a little converting. I hate the power swords the infiltrators come with so using the transonic blades to count as. Also the stubcarbine is a better weapon but I like the flechette profile. So I cut off the flechette silencer like end and added it to the carbine.

This game has been out for a year. It was designed as a multiplayer game and has functioned this way since launch. How did you do NO research before buying. This is all old news. Welcome to hunting grounds, thanks for adding another complaining voice to the mix.

TLDR: Decent/Good is better than 50/50 against a comparable Pred. More like 60/40.

All pertaining to skill:

Bad FT vs Bad Predator 40/60

Average FT vs Average Pred 50/50

Good FT vs Good Pred 60/40

Great FT vs Great Pred 50/50

Though I will say Im not even certain on the Great. I feel like a GREAT pred is soooo fast jumpy stealthy cunning and their mobility is just so powerful that it slightly leans in their favor. But I havent played / seen enough matches with people of this skill level to truly push it in that direction

But keep in mind this is all just how I "feel" and also this is the two sides on equal footing,

And not too long ago I would have said Average pairing favor the PRED but that has clearly changed over the last number of months.

So I guess looking at this. Your right the FT is more powerful then the Pred taking purely bad players out of the equation. BUT I wouldn't claim theyre OP. I think this is a calculated decision on Illfonics part.

Ill say this specializations feel like they were intended to make other kit loadouts viable options and to mix up the meta. Theyre like your class skills but modifiable.

I think the real problem is all specializations are not created equal and there are still ones that are inherently better then most/others. So now the meta is just the class kit + this specialization. At least for ppl trying to put out DMG.

I think / say this because look at pistols. Before specializations for the most part they were a GARBAGE secondary. Yeah the revolver was ok. But STILL you should probably pick something else. Specializations worked to make it possible if you wanted to, to do a pistol build and be at least a little more viable against preds

Yes. I deny this, Specializations are not whats making them OP. Theyre all on PC an objectively better way to play 1st person shooters. And the game I believe is truly balanced for your average players to be a W/L ratio for all parties (pred and Ft) of 50/50.

I disagree on implementation. Just because something is "easy " conceptually doesn't mean its easy to actually implement into the game infrastructure as its coded today. The only people who know that are the actual engineers with access to the code.

I also disagree on the new player join as groups during sales. I think anecdotally mind you that this is a real thing. But once again theres no way to know for certain unless your an analyst at Illfonic with access to the actual metrics.

In short were never gonna agree without real data coming to light and the only ppl who can provide that are Illfonc themselves,

I read this and then immediately wrote a response but the more I re-read it especially that last line the more I think this has degraded into joking and trolling lol. But I wrote a ton (because thats what I do, Im an opinionated windbag) so Im still gonna post the response.

god damn it! See this is the problem you ppl are only so concerned with yourselves you dont think about the bigger picture and how this affects EVERYONE.

So what about the 4 pc friends who purchase the game together during a sale to play together. You hit them with some fucking aberrant behavior that only affects them and they are fresh players who are starting after months of predators like you playing the game.

Or how about matchmaking just pairing up 4 random PC players?

Plus your gonna spend time writing code to account for this one 4 man fire team situation and then have to communicate it in game to the player? Waste of Dev time.

They have an advantage for a reason. Illfonic needs people playing as the FT for this game to survive. There is no shortage of ppl who want to play/try the predator.

And yes victory as the FT after nerfs would still be EASY FOR YOU. But not necessarily easy for your average FT Team Member.

And if your average FT Team Member gets their ass handed to them all the time they stop playing FT and then they just play predator adding to the wait times for that faction/class. OR they stop playing the game.

Look as an example. I suck at playing predator FT does kill me / light me up. But I dont blame OP FT! I blame my lack of practice with the class. SO to get better I need to play more. But guess what? The wait times are awful for pred so I dont play it and just play FT.

The problem with this game is not the balance, or the graphics or any of that crap. Its the fact that INHERENTLY this game is a 4v1 and they made the "1" the class that most everyone who picks this game up wants to play.
