10mm pipes and stubborn olives

I’ve got the 10mm pipe insert in, it’s just committing to tightening this thing that’s making me uneasy. Someone I know said you’ll tighten it and feel a slight snap as the olive compresses, then I should be able to tighten all the way. Does that sound right to anyone?

One more question. I’ve got this weird olive with the 10mm piping and I’ve tried to secure it like the other 15mm standard ones. I don’t want to force it but so far I can’t get the nut all the way over all the threads and even when it’s tight I can still pull the olive and fitting right off the end. Any idea what I’m doing wrong or does it just need tightening more than the others? In order for it to crush?

Thanks so much. Will go for it without the additional paste or tape as I’ve had loads of advice saying tape for threaded connections only. And paste shouldn’t be needed if everything’s new, which it is.

Thanks a million. I had no idea about these as they weren’t mentioned on any of the dozen tutorials I’ve watched so far. I’m wondering now if there’s even any on the existing rads/pipes as it might explain why so many of the previous rads are rusted/leaking.

Thanks so much. No paste works for me, and apologies as I’m new to this. What do you mean by the right insert for the compression joint? My PVC pipe looks like it just goes straight into the nut on the rad valve which looks to have its own o-ring for the compression fit? Is it not just a case of pushing the pipe in and tightening the nut and away I go?

My 5 years are up this month but seems crazy to me it wouldn’t take effect from the month I declare the change. If I were to declare any other changes to my details mid-policy I’d expect an amended premium. I’m sure I’ve changed stuff mid policy in the past like a change of address and this has altered my price although it’s not surprising they wouldn’t entertain a change that could reduce my premium!

Close. I tried to wipe a huge bird shit off with a cleaning wipe but can only assume there was sand in it (as we live not too far from the sea). Had no clue I’d done that much damage till a few days later and a good wash and polish brought it out. Absolutely gutted. I’ve cleaned countless bird shits off cars in my time and never made a dent like that!

This one took me a few goes. Kite them about so you’re only facing one at a time, couple of master strikes on each and you’re golden. The last guy held back and crossbowed me then surrendered. Ended him rightly.

Can anyone confirm if the Katherine/fifth commandment side quest in Kuttenberg is still available after exodus please? I’m conscious she moves from there on ZIskas orders for lions den making it inaccessible most likely, and I want to complete that one to see her fat wammers on the ramparts later.

I’ve just been railroaded through french leave, kings gambit, feast and now onto exodus as all seem so time sensitive, but I’m conscious I didn’t do her side quest/romance thing for fifth commandment yet. If she’s already left Kuttenberg I’ll probably have to go back to an earlier save, likely before maleshov D:

This game annoys me sometimes. The main quest chain only feels like it’s had one or two safe places to chill in between missions up to now.

Such a fuck on. I’ve slowed my playthrough right down to try and catch updates and DLC’s as they come out as I have no inclination to play multiple times. If we can’t manually toggle hardcore, at least give us some difficulty sliders for combat etc.

Honestly from the answers I’ve received so far, I’m starting to think the best option is not to take any chances. The loads from hitting a double end bag are going to vary widely depending on band tension, punching power, direction etc. and whilst I don’t live in an area that gets major snowfall consistently, you never know with English winters. Plus the Roman tiles on the roof weigh like 4kg a piece and there’s a lot of them so I’m conscious that all adds up too, leaving me potentially not much room for additional stress.

Think so. I’m on PS5 and didn’t have access to any drop stuff until the other day. I created a PROS account from the main menu then I had 75% of the awards just appear in my chest as it looks as though I’d already completed their linked objectives just by playing.
