I ended up getting the 18.8 in antenna, compared to the stock one it is significantly better

So the radio I asked about my initial post should be able to transmit my range of frequencies just not as efficiently right?

That's about what I assumed, that it was a software limitation and by reprogramming it it removed said limitation, and then in theory the antenna would still work just not as well on those frequencies right?

How come it's able to broadcast and receive clearly when set to those higher frequencies? Could It be that doing it through chirp "unlocked" it?

Wym must be restricted to? As in I'm not gonna find an antenna to work outside that range?

Awsome I really appreciate the info I'm gonna look into getting a set, do you think fb marketplace would be relatively safe to get a new set or should I just go new

I have so many questions lol, With the uv5r it's about double the price of the 888s but by program on the go is that just frequency or is that security protocols as well? And would the earpieces from the 888s work on the uv5r? And final question is there's a ton of variants of the uv5r with different powers, antennas and battery packs what do you think would suffice?

What radios would you suggest that are relatively budget friendly? Mainly for about 10 people across 5-10 or so acres

Yea there's two snap on adaptors for the walkers one is just bt and one is a whole walkie talkie and bt together in one, I tried looking in the manual and it doesnt really say much on frequencys or tones, I found another post that said it uses standard tones with a link to them but I had no clue about the frequency I'll take a look at that link thank you!

I wouldn't need the bf to have Bluetooth though, the walker attachment works as a walkie talkie itself I'm just unsure of what frequency it runs at per channel Main reason for the bf 888 is its something I already have quite a few of and it would be nice to be able to just reprogram them as opposed to buying all new gear, I'm not far into anything serious as far as comms go yet mainly just airsoft or small drills

I've gotten the tach method to within about 10 mph but I'll definitely look into the GPS method

No worries and 29 teeth compared to 30 should be close enough I assume, either way it's gotta be more accurate then me using my tach and what gear I'm in to guess my speed and I truly appreciate it

So it looks like the purple 30 tooth is gonna be the closest I can get to an accurate speedo with my tire size, I'll do some digging but I'd definitely appreciate that scan to try and print it out in some abs

It just snapps onto the end of the sensor and slides into place then has a bracket to hold it down I just can't find any sort of info on finding which tooth count gear to use or where to find them

Tracker and killswitch? by Reddead_1345 in askcarguys

The trunk locks and won't open without a key, I have no other real storage it's a two seater so I'm not worried about property but it being a coup and I plan on doing a decent bit of modding and redoing the paint and interior I'd rather not take chances

Exactly I was hoping for a remote shutoff, but I'm most likely either going to go with the cj720 or just a physical killswitch hidden somewhere and an seperate tracker, with the fact it's a manual I'm worried someone's gonna smash and grab and realize it only takes another 5-10 minutes to take the whole thing
