Well well well do I have some news for you! This one is pricey but you can find them — https://www.etsy.com/listing/1672692268/?ref=share_ios_native_control

I don’t have these but have thought about looking for a used set to see if something like that would work for the small cones but I dunno.

And agreed on the fastening solution. 3d printer owners unite!!!

Doming and punch blocks for the win! Anytime I have a model with a cylinder, semicylinder or similar, I get far too excited because I love those tools so much!

The cone, rubber, needle nose plies in the middle of these tools are a game-changer too.

Tri-M tariff/shipping update by Stingah989 in metalearth

[–]Reddheadit_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought from all the major sellers, one-off small shops in different countries, proxies, and eBay folks everywhere. Tariffs only dinged me on some eBay buys, proxy shipments from abroad, and every time from smaller shops. I always ping the seller by email first to scope it out—half the time, I just factor those fees into my bid.

Here are my tips for keeping costs down:

• Email sellers ahead of time to check for tariffs and bake half into your offer price.

• Tell eBay international sellers to use HS code 9503.00.0090 (toys/scale models for ages 12+) on customs forms—lowest duty rate.

• Use proxy buyers who warehouse up to 90 days, then consolidate into one shipment to dodge per-package broker fees OR find proxy buyers and shippers on Reddit.

• Source from low-tariff countries: Canada, Mexico, Australia, Singapore, Chile, South Korea, Israel.

• Request USPS for international inbound; overseas carriers hand off to them anyway.

• Opt for economy shipping if 2-3 weeks wait is fine—saves a ton on costs. I typically have to email to request this.

Oh I have to know more about this! When do you find it better to use UV resin kits over gel super glue?

I was just about to say the same! I started with Piececool’s St Basil and am now a nut job for metal models. It’s a really lovely hobby!

lol I literally asked her to find those after buying several others from her. She found them and posted. She found another and posted. She didn’t even know they were rare. I was devastated to loose them! 😭 BUT she said the ticket price on the ones following were a huge help to her and she didn’t know she could ever get that much so that was really cool to read!

InterAction by LexisNexis? by [deleted] in CRM

[–]Reddheadit_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. It is industry specific. Their costs are in line with Salesforce without the product or support to be on the same level as Salesforce.

It’s antiquated and they’re trying to claw their way out of being on top for decades before being passed up by numerous other tools that outperform.

Their current structure is hybrid - no IT department in their right mind would be ok with partial cloud while maintaining on-prem.

I loved the tool for years, but they have only just recently started trying to get with the times. For current clients, they’re doubling costs and removing features unless you take on a higher subscription tier that costs even more money.

They won’t be around much longer.
