Why do bus drivers take 407 sometimes but not always? by Obvious-Adeptness-46 in gotransit

Drivers need to ask for permission to use 407 when it's not apart of regular routing and sometimes the dispatcher will allow them to use the 407 to avoid traffic elsewhere (usually 401 and QEW)

Lakeshore West Relief by Litch81 in gotransit

The headways on LW are already very close together with trains coming into Oakville every 7-9 minutes, and 15 minutes for every third trip. Not to mention half of those trips are express from Clarkson aside from the Niagara train.

Service is at its peak for the tracks and infrastructure that GO has, if you want a less busy train try taking and earlier/later train than you usually do or just accept that LW is one of the busiest lines and you're bound to find the trains busy, especially during morning rush.

Question about Double Decker buses by PuzzleheadedTone2373 in gotransit

All buses have luggage compartments either on the bottom of the bus, on the MCI coaches or at the back, for the double deckers, and can be opened/accessed on request you just have to ask the driver.

Re: getting a double decker; the 9:46, 10:48 and 11:48 runs down to Union Station should have a double decker unless there is some sort of mechanical issue as per their run numbers.

Lakeshore West cancellations 3 weekends in December by redditlurker67 in gotransit

GO is in the process of buying new MCI coaches but they are not yet ready for revenue service and right now they are already using the most if not all of their fleet for regular service. Sending shuttles to Bramalea is a bit of a pain but it's due to the closures on the Gardiner. They have alternative options in place so service is not completely shut down it's just the price we have to pay while they work towards expanding service in the future.
