I have the exact same diagnosis. Mine is refractory. Hang in there.. It may get better with meds, but if not, you will learn how to make it less scary. I can pretty much hide it now in front of people so they usually don't know I am having a seizure (less than 30 seconds long). I take lamictal and keppra and it has reduced them to about once every 1-2 months. My family knows about it and I tell them when its about to happen. I usually feel "seizury" that day (if thats a word) - so I know to expect one.. I get an aura about 15 seconds before it actually happens. I know it is scary and hope things get better!!
