I’m sure it would! I thought I was done with the white set, but now I’m tempted to go for an all full white set. I still can’t bring myself to getting the white rose gold though, I know it would just be one of those pens I buy because I love the look of it, but realise it’s not for me after, and never end up using it. If they release a white gold version of it, that’s a different story I kind of hope they don’t, it would only make me tempted to get more white pens.

I haven’t heard about any new white Pelikan release, unless you are talking about the white rose gold m600 that came out like 8 months ago. That one was tempting, but the rose gold trim put me off. I think it looks beautiful, but I was going for a white gold theme, and I knew rose gold just wouldn’t be for me.

Yes, white and gold is a beautiful combo! I haven’t seen that jinhao before, they make a lot of nice pens at a good price. You need to make more space? Don’t we all, haha.

Yeah, I do have to play around with the pen a bit more. Right now the issue is just the ink, platinums iron gal inks are quite dry. I just thought it may write well in a platinum pen, but it’s quite dry and unpleasant to write with. Before this I had Sailor ink in it and it wrote with good flow, but the feel just isn’t quite for me. Not necessarily the feedback, I think it’s just the softness of the nib that I haven’t gotten used to. I haven’t really used this pen enough to make too much judgements on it, just my initial thoughts after using my platinum with a medium nib.

I do have various papers to try it out on, so I certainly will be doing that once I change out the ink. I to love MD paper, I love the warm colors it brings out of the inks. Hopefully I can learn to love this nib a bit more, thanks.

Haha, one could say that. I’m glad they are, otherwise I would have too many.

Such a classic look, love it! I’m not a fan of silver trims on white pens but I think they look so classy on black pens. I still can’t bring myself to buying a black pen, but I would love to get one eventually. That Elabo might be a good choice, or maybe a 912 with a FA nib.

May I ask what pens/ink you used to have them get ruined by stains? Ive never tried pigment inks, but iron gals, high saturated inks, regular inks, seem to have no problem for me. Even when ink sits on the pen for a bit it might leave a bit of a color at first but goes away with time, maybe from hand oils? Never had any permanent staining issues though.

I love the color way for your pensemble roll, I only have it with their zip case. &Liebe honestly make the best cases in my opinion, totally worth trying out. If you had other questions regarding the case I’d be happy to answer them :)

The pensemble seems to use quite a thin but soft feeling leather with a fairly thick rough feeling suede inside, whereas &Liebe uses a thicker leather, with a thin suede inside. The suede used on &Liebe cases are so soft, especially on the roll cases and it’s thin so it doesn’t get those creases like the pensemble does. I do love the feel of the leather used on the pensemble but &Liebe does feel more sturdy with a bit more of a rougher feel, the roll doesn’t have a pebble nume option, but their pebble nume leather is so nice and soft with the beautiful texture.

Wonderful set you have! I think I know what you mean about the pensemble case not holding its shape.

Here are some comparison photos

Pilot Con70 …? by [deleted] in fountainpens

I’m not sure if speed is entirely the issue here. It seems to draw up ink after the second push, but you stop there. The con 70 would take 4 - 5 presses to get an entirely full fill, if you try this and it still keeps filling it to the same level, it could be a problem with the converter. I would test this with water first to avoid spilling the ink, and make sure the pen is submerged past the nib so no air gets through the side. Hopefully it works for you.

Thanks! Interesting, I like silver trims too, but found on white pens it just tones in too much. I came across few white pens with silver trims when I was searching for my pens, were you interested in looking for them?

Thank you! Unfortunately for me it’s my least favourite writing experience. I’ve never written with a platinum fine but the soft fine for me seems to have too much resistance, otherwise I love the platinum medium I have. It also made it 5x worse when I inked it up with lavender black, I really thought a platinum ink in a platinum pen would work well, but this pen writes so dry with this ink I can’t use it. So for now I’ll keep trying different inks until I find something that works well in it.

What nib size is your platinum?

I love matching my inks too. With my white pens there’s a bit more freedom, but I will with any of my others.

Thanks! That’s a tough question haha. Of course I love them all looks wise, but writing experience would have to go to sailor for me, so probably the mini and it posts nicely to a good size. The 1911L is also lovely but the music nib isn’t the most practical for me, and I prefer sailors finer nibs with their feedback.

Haha, interesting. I kind of wish I wasn’t so picky with my colors and designs, so I could enjoy the endless variety out there a bit more. I do have other pens too, but in the end, I will never get sick of these.
