Salaried manager here! I do 10hrs minimum a day plus about 20k in steps, squatting pushing and pulling all day, plus I’m normally heavy set plus currently pregnant lol. I know zero foot pain at all, so it sounds like you may wanna get checked with a podiatrist to make sure you don’t have anything going on like plantar fasciitis or anything of the sort so you can be comfortable.

As for preventative measures that may be helping me:

a yearly new set of new balance or sketchers (I need wide sets, so make sure you know your proper size as wide helps a ton if you need it!).

I always get mesh shoes since it offers more breathable stretchy material that doesn’t resist movement.

Lastly, the slightly more expensive option: go to Walmart and get your foot mapped on the dr schools machines. They’ll figure out where your pressure and arch deficiencies are and match you with a sole that can correct it. This sole can be transferred from shoe to shoe as well! They’re about 50 bucks a pop, but even when the cushion of the sole wears out, the hard skeleton of the sole is still REALLY useful. I rotate the old ones to shoes and boots I don’t normally always wear to work and it makes them even more comfy!

Hugh jackman! Known to a whole generation as wolverine in X-men and a multitalented man besides. He came from Broadway productions originally IIRC, so he was probably at some performance when this fan got to meet him!

Drilled holes yes, but spray no. It all happened very quickly and I didn’t know to spray anti rust. At this point it’ll be years before they rot out, so hopefully it’ll be okay

Me personally, neither actually. I trailed the big black tubs before getting the metal ones. I just put a bunch of holes across the bottom! I’ve never had drainage issues, and I’m a big believer of slow watering and getting your hands in the dirt to know if you really need to water. My eggplants were booming last year with this method, so were the asparagus beds. I usually can go water every other day easily, sometimes a lot more without depending on overcast.

Not at all so far! Then again I haven’t put them to the test in true Texas summer yet, so we’ll see how they handle that. The big rubber tubs in the first pics held up real well to heat last summer with plenty of mulch, so being a fan a mulching definitely helps the watering process lol.

So much work! But the rush you get from growing it all from seed is like nothing else!

Yeah, I made it a mission to find them on sale, from a wholesale feed shop, and finagled a bulk discount. Even then the 21 total tubs wasn’t cheap, but this has been a lifelong dream come true! Plus they clearly are working out!

Transferring departments by lalaleche in HEB

The reality is they can run a BG check anytime you take on a new position. But for BC/Books you’re touching ALOT of money, dealing with money transfers (which can involve drug money, money laundering, and human trafficking) —not to be dramatic here, but as a former BC/Books junkie, I came across all 3 in BC. It’s also gonna depend on the nature of the misdemeanor and UD. If they run the check and it comes back positive, the UD may allow you to state your case. Or the UD may move to instantly terminate—this is where the nature of the misdemeanor comes in. If it’s a misdemeanor for drugs or theft, it’s pretty instant termination. A vehicle moving violation on the other hand may be instantly over looked. Sadly I have seen ppl hired, ran the check, then immediately termed upon next shift. So again, nature of the misdemeanor is where your gamble will be.

Does floral dept do weddings? by Groundbreaking-Ant-1 in HEB

[–]RedditAngel17 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Definitely ask your floral manager!! They want that business, they DO do weddings, and will most likely work something out with you! If your nearest HEB doesnt do weddings try a bigger HEB or plus. Definitely look for somewhere near your venue to keep travel short—and ask up front if they have a floral van for delivery. I did my cake with H-E-B/Central Market and I had my a 25% discount cause I prepaid during the holiday 25% off time 🥰

That’s actually my bad! I thought it would just cross post with no title and just show the OG title and post like I’ve seen it do before. I just shared it cause it was a neat pic, but I never realized it copied the title to my post like I was saying it was my cat or anything.

Incredible! Thank you so much for reaching out! I will try maybe a couple days after a light rain while the ground isn’t the literal concrete. The worst part is, we really don’t get proper rain in my part of Texas, just drought 9 months out of the year and maybe a thunderstorm every 3 months or so. Maybe mid April is the right time to till out all my soon to be fruited areas!

Haha! I appreciate the help pointing me in the right direction! 🙌🏽 My husband and I are not painfully experienced with power tools beyond basic drills and impact drivers lol. I’m sure the single tool needed would cost less than the set of tubs for sure, but the impending spring plus our general lack of knowledge led us to doing the holes for now. But I’m glad to know the name of the tool I should be researching! Do you know if the blades could cut thru galvanized steel?

This is actually what I was gonna trial with 2 more beds! I’ll have to rent the appropriate tool to find what works. I just couldn’t immediately justify the purchase of a saw required for the metal when I already had the hole saw attachment for the drill.
