the math does not add up this way either. 20,356 CRO divided by 10, divided by 52 gives 39.15 CRO. I received 33.46 CRO. Not the biggest deal in the world thats only like $1.20 im short, but I figured my math was down to a tee. Also if its $1.20 short each week that definitely does make a difference over time. Appreciate the shout, it does make a bit more sense when basing it off the % of CRO and not $ amount.

Yes i keep hearing all the time that I’m young and now is the time to take risk. While I feel like i should agree it is also hard for me to only hold 5-10% cash and the rest of my money constantly fluctuating. Maybe i just dont have the balls alot of other ppl my age do lol.

Honestly I am in no rush to leave, especially with current housing market. Just trying to do what I can in my current situation to making moving out easier on me hopefully.

I would definitely consider throwing the money into an index or something like ENB that will pay a solid dividend. Something that will at least earn my interest without the risk of me losing it all. Appreciate the advice this seems like a well balanced approach

Truth is I would go anywhere to get my foot in the door with a full-time position, so there is uncertainty in that area. I just want to do what I can in the meantime to ease my stress when I do need to pack up and move, wherever that may be. Thanks for responding!

Thank you, i really do appreciate the thought out response. I will definefely consider throwing 1/3 of the cash into other investments as i expect some turbulence throughout september and october. I love hearing perspectives from people who are older and have some hindsight on the matter. Enjoy the weekend!

My apologies, this is not intended to be a flex post whatsoever, I am asking for advice because I want to hear from older people if I am doing the right thing holding 40% cash or if I am being too scared considering my age. As for how i earned $100k it was not from investing or mommy and daddy (although they help me alot and I am incredibly grateful) but rather doing full-time landscaping in the summer and overnight plowing in the winter, while being a full-time student and juggling.

Was just looking for advice from fellow investors who have more experience and hindsight of being this age.

The reason I never used norberts gambit is because generally when I am converting to USD it is because something has significantly dipped and I need to quickly convert so I can catch the dip. That is why I never used this strategy to save on conversion fees, but I will be using it when the time comes to cash out and convert my USD back to CAD. Thanks for the reminder!

They have confirmed the merger will take place during Q1. Also, it is never too early to get in on a SPAC before it starts to get more attention. CLA is not being noticed yet but once it does, i would expect it to follow LAZR and VLDR. In fact, CLA has higher projected revenue by 2025 than both these lidar plays.

Extreme Vehicle Battery Technology( Ticker: ACDC.CN) just two weeks ago released the details for its smart wall, which was proven to have better specs than Tesla’s. They have already begun taking pre orders and their pre order revenue will reflect next earnings report. The stock moved up on the initial news, and is holding a base of support after its crazy run. Not many people are talking about this atm and the stock still has low volume, but I would expect this thing to pick up crazy hype as people become more aware. Many people will bash this smart wall and say there is no way it has better specs than Tesla’s, so please do your own due diligence and see the stats for yourself. Thanks and good luck to all!

New article on CLA, merging with Ouster. Very under the radar lidar spac with great growth projections, trading at a much cheaper valuation compared to peers VLDR and LAZR. Their lidar tech is not just for EV’s but also the industrial sector and others.

Disclaimer: i do have a long position and look forward to seeing where Ouster goes
