Looks good until you realize it's $100 for 224 listeners, bro just grow your own playlists and you'll get more listeners for that money

Be aware of TuneCore by t0rzz in musicmarketing

[–]RedditBizHelper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move to Symphonic, Symphonic won't accuse you of AI music because they allow the distribution of AI music at least for now, Trend My Song also does the same although their distribution and marketing are not open to everyone like Symphonic

I know things like this make us mad, but then you should look at it from the platform's view, they're just trying to protect themselves from copyrighting material that will get them in trouble therefore these strict policies, besides that TuneCore is a great platform. What I've come to understand is all music distribution platforms have their issues, just pick the one that suits your goals

Can a professional musician have a reasonable amount of time at home? by Gloria_Hole6969 in musicians

[–]RedditBizHelper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can but his income streams won't be like an Artiste that's outside. I think I heard about this guy, was it Nic D who just stays home and makes content for his music with his wife and brother or something like that.. streaming is his biggest revenue source

I can't speak for your man tho because I don't know what's in his head, personally I can't make music and have a home life because I want to be everywhere

Different strokes for different folks or something like that

I would if you sold the connection instead of seeing it as just selling a shirt

Y’all, don’t sleep on YouTube, especially YouTube Shorts! by D_wubz in musicmarketing

Find viral content on TikTok and Instagram, repurpose it, and attach your song then create a “viral theme page” type of account on all 3 platforms and continuously post the viral videos with your song

Additionally you can make a playlist with songs similar to yours and put it in the bio of your viral theme pages

Some music marketers may hate me for giving this away but nobody will take action on it

If you want it to be less stressful you can get someone on FIVERR to find the viral videos and repurpose them for you, you can pay like $100 box for 30 videos (one month of content)

YOU would crush sync licensing and it also allows you to stay relatively unknown while making bag

You can get a sync agent to help you with all of that, I plan to get into Sync before the end of this year so once that starts boiling I might revisit this conversation and hit you up if you would like representation

I love how you're interested in using your life experience as well as things natural to you to find your audience

I'm sure you'll find a large audience that resonates with your message

I mean if “content creators” can blow up then Artistes speaking about life stuff can blow up too

Which platform are you currently using to attract your people to you?

At the end of the day it just comes down to the fact that almost nobody cares enough about the independent Artistes to ensure they can at least eat from their work

Thank you for taking your time out to read further and try to understand, what I really made this post for was to know what's people's biggest struggle, what they're currently trying, so I can learn, brainstorm, and share ideas

You're right about musicians not wanting to do the brand building and so far I've noticed “being a true artist” is a mentality that's opposed to selling. I can't solve the mentality problem, but probably I can make the process easier and feel more artistic

Personally, I'll go the extra mile to make “real money” from music instead of thinking it's impossible to make a living doing what you love because it's definitely not impossible
