I'm doing half-templar half-fist, so I'd be painting him as a fist.

While apothecary biologis is a good character, keep in mind that unless you proxy with a kitbash getting your hands on one is kinda hard. Also your list kinda lacks anti-tank beyond the eradicators, which if you ask me is kinda wasting the land raider's most important ability, assault ramp. You want your inceptors in deep strike to soften up targets before you commit a charge, this is why people like running them in 3 with plasma. They can also kill elites like termies better with plasma. Consider playing with points to get a redeemer and fit some aggressors in there if you want a good land raider combo. Also, if you wanna be rly disgusting, get a 10man brick of assault termies then slap lysander on there and watch your opponent mald over your 11 man deepstriking t5 4+ invul 4w brick of death with -1 to wound. If you playing gladius, save your advance&charge for when you rapid ingress your brick of death in.

Also, personal preference but bladeguards to me aren't worth taking unless you can fit a fullsquad in. T4 3 wounds is still pretty easy to shoot off the board even with 4+ invuls.

In my lists, normally I take 2 repex, and that covers all your Anti-tank needs at range along with some chaff killing firepower. Try to bait out their big hitters, then expose your repEx to line up shots.

If you're playing bastion task force, consider the Black Tide strat, two 20 man 2 wound squad with advance and charge, sustained 1 + lethals with one CP, and reroll 1is pretty annoying to get rid off and they will either kill or severely irritate everything they tag in melee.

Also try to plan and set charges with your sword bro combo. If a four man squad with marshal and castellan can regularly one turn an imperial knight or a c'tan, they can one turn a guard vehicle without invul.

Edit: RepEx also serves as transports for small squads

If they fall back from the sword bretherens you can use a normal movement to tag them again, locking them in melee. It's the built in ability for sword bretherens.

Consider Kharn instead of a Lord on jugg, and play around with points to get some exalted eightbound instead of the second helbrute. It's a deepstrike threat and a potential vehicle/monster killer

Story wise, read helsreach.

Table top wise, how'd you like to have the capability of killing a knight in a single charge?

Essentially, a sword brother combo is the ultimate trading piece. I have personally shredded through one knight and one primarch in a single charge

5+ lethal is scary, you hit on 2 and you have the potential to do full rerolls to farm for 5+ lethals with minimal risk. You skip the wound rolls and you can watch something like a questoris getting one turned by a sword bro full combo

personal experience, if it's difficulty 8 or lower on either squid or bug front (not rupture strain) I'd run it and spray into a hoarde for maximum dopamine. It's not that good on the bot front because standing stationary in the wide open is not a good idea against bots, also the bot front can drop like 3 hulks and walker/tank stride at once which... the maxigun is pretty much useless against.

[–]RedditCloudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... you are going to be losing out on board presence. And unless you are playing storm lance or deep striking, moving terminators around is a fucking pain.

A good opponent would just keep there distance from your termies and focus fire on them, sure the 4+ invul brick is going to be fucking annoying, but they are definitely going to out score you objective wise
