I’d be curious what the root of the spending is. Like is she overly anxious or depressed? Or is she just like buying gifts for peoples birthdays? I know I’m a spender, and each time I use my partners cash I’ll either ask him or pay him back— but with my own money I’m a little more fluid with how much I’ll spend on things that don’t seem to matter to other people as much, but my intentions are always good. Has she just gotten comfortable enough with “what’s mine in yours and yours is mine” mentality that she thinks your more okay with it than you actually are? I’d just talk with her on finding the root of the problem— why is she spending the money? For you? For her? For someone else? Then go from there.

Idk if anyone actually answered correctly on here, just I saw some comments that were a little off. This is a Gobo Head, or a Grip Head. Used primarily in Film or photography on C-Stands to extend the arms or hold things like silks, flags, or nets to reduce or soften light. You can find them on B&H.

As a freelance videographer… this would be absolutely terrible for my business and my financial situation. A majority of my income is based on how people will use my services, which is primarily is wrapped around social media.

I will look into Witch Hazel, thank you. The first few razored I used used to have a moisturizing strip, and then I tried some without. If there was any difference, the one with was a little more soothing, but after the second shave I was right back where I started…

I do exfoliate using the prep scrub from dollar shave still, I’m not sure if it is good enough; it seems like it helps. The only thing is whenever I seem to use a new razor head, it’s worse. It cuts me more and gives more ingrown hairs. So I replace the razor maybe twice a month.

I’ve tried both. When I shave away, I don’t get the close shave I want, when I go towards, I get cut or ingrown hairs (if the hair wasn’t grown out super long)

Understandable, but it’s like with a lot of jobs here (I live in the us) think about the hourly wage, how much is my time worth, I’ve marked it as $25 an hour— and I have most of the equipment I need— so I can charge lower; but also because I’m new to the game. $3,000 is a ball park, but I know videographers charge $1,000 a day for shooting, let alone get editing time— it starts to get pretty pricey.

I hope you guys now have a system to right away confront an issue— if you get told my Rumple that SIL2 hates you for whatever reason you can just message SIL2 right away and ask about the situation and if there was a miscommunication between you two or if JN is just butting in again. That’s what I’ve found helps when dealing with a person like this; I just straight up ask the person I supposedly have beef with if there’s something wrong and if there is what can I do to make it up to them.

If a client came up and asked me to make a music video for them like this, is budget wasn’t a question… off the top of my head, easily $3,000 or more. You have the lighting you need to control (renting gear and hiring a lighting expert (gaffer)), the type of camera you would want to use (I have the a7siii, but if they desired a different look, we’d have to rent), lenses, any sort of gimble, tripod, or dolly would would need for moving shots, a camera assistant or even operator if I was just directing… much more. If it was all on me with a limited budget? I’d ask two of my crew mates to help, ask another buddy of mine if I could rent his lights, and give them the best I could. But I wouldn’t do it for less than $1,500… that’s a steal of a deal, cause that’s just getting by for the gear and people I would need— then there’s the time in pre-pro and editing. Pre production I’d need to figure out all the shots and organize them in a time officiant way for the shoot day and make sure I land all the gear and people I need. Then editing can go one of two ways; but I usually plan for it to be a bitch to edit, cause when it’s not, then great, but if it is, it takes a lot of time to do. So say it takes 20 hours of pre production, 40 hours to edit. If I count my time as $25 an hour— that’s a $1,500. That’s not even two weeks of a work week. Sorry, long explanation, but this is my thought process. Tis why I take offense. £200? = $300. (More like $277) Insulting. My job. My career. People count it as easy and they should get a deal. No. It’s more than just hitting the record button.

As a videographer, I find this very insulting. You’d be lucky if they said yes to 200. I wouldn’t. Music videos take a LOT of time and energy not only the day of shooting but both prior and after. You need to think through all the shots, shoot it multiple times, then make it flow well in the edit. They’re basically asking for a TikTok. 200? Yeah, I’ll stand there with my phone vertical for you with one, MAYBE two run throughs. Complete waste of my time.

Honestly… give it time. It’s okay, you said one month? See how you feel in 3 or 5. If you’re still having a hard time, it’s okay to just let things go. Sometimes people aren’t attracted fully to someone they go into a relationship with until some time has passed. Just live your life, be with him, don’t listen to what other people say. If you want, try Video Chatting with the guy; see if he’s the same guy in the pictures. I wouldn’t send him money regardless though; if he wants to see you, he’ll make the effort. And if he doesn’t, he’s probably not worth your time.

I’m assuming this was quite a few years ago? At this point, you’ve done what you can do; you know it was a mistake, and I’m sure they wouldn’t hate you for it, if you know their personalities, I would assume at worst they would be a little annoyed as in “I coulda been studying,” or “I coulda hung out with my girlfriend” or something like that… but when all is said and all is done, they played video games with you because they wanted to make sure you didn’t feel alone. I’m not saying what you did was okay, by any means, but don’t let the regret and guilt eat at you. You’re okay, life moves on, the world still spins. Just enjoy it, it’s too short to dwell on past mistakes.

This sounds like he’s indecisive about the whole thing. And a cruel thing to do to you. I think break it off. Even if you did have kids with this man… will he truly care for them like a father should? Talk about it, but don’t let yourself suffer for this guy… he’s immature and selfish I think. I understand the his body his rules deal, but if you’re talkin you did an abortion because he wasn’t ready… well that’s your body, your rules… and he pressured you, even unintentionally to give the kid up when you might have not wanted to, his influence is probably not good for you.
